The rich texture of the tree and the bright yellow leaves inspired my layout. https://the-lilypad.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=178522&title=my-sunshine&cat=516
When I saw this painting I immidiately thought how nature's colors create such a beautiful balance - the orange, the brownish and the blue. I tried to recreate this color scheme with my page and my photo:
As for me, the thing I wanted from this challenge, was to completely empty my mind and feel artistic, while I was keeping trees and autumn (with it's colors) in mind. And ooohhhh, what a blast!!!! I really really enjoyed, played and tried out things. And I am happy with the result:
I was inspired by the perspective of the painting. I also added a paint daub filter to my photo to mimic the effect from the painting.
The angle of the trees and the angles in the fence seemed to be similar. The art look inspired a pencil drawing with a blend to bring in a little color. The picture also inspired me to put the quote on an angle as well.
The moment I saw the painting for this challenge, I immediately remembered these photos I shot at God's Acre in Old Salem, NC in the fall of 2009. I've never scrapbooked them, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity.
When I saw the painting, I immediately remembered that I had taken a photo very similar not long ago. So I used that, and tried to complement the perspective. Not extremely happy with it, but I worked on it far too long!
