Day 3! How are you doing so far? Have you started stalking the forum yet waiting with bated breath for the next challenge to come? Don’t worry, you’ll be in good company this month!

Today’s challenge is brought to you by the grid. While grids make this mom think of too many games of Tic-Tac-Toe (or Naughts and Crosses), grids are a beautiful design element that give a page form. Just like Tic-Tac-Toe or Naughts and Crosses, using a grid defines your scrap space and gives you an easy canvas to place photos and other elements.

For this challenge, I want you to use a visible grid, and contain your photos, papers and elements within that grid. The grid must be a minimum of 3 across and 3 down (3x3). It can be more. You can create your grid in a number of different ways: stitching, ribbon, paper strips, washi tape, paint, etc. Everything on your page must be contained within the grid shape. It does not have to take up your whole page, but it can. While you may have an element or two that stretches beyond the grid shape, like I did with my title, you cannot have anything that's completely outside of the grid. I should be able to easily see the grid on your page. You do not have to fill every square of the grid.

On my page, I used stitching to show the visible grid of 4 x4 space.

    Recap:
    1. Make a page using a visible grid with 3 or more squares across and 3 or more squares down.
    2. Everything on the page must be contained in the grid with very little overlap.

Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page must be posted in three places:
    1. Uploaded to the TLP Gallery (not an outside hosting site).
    2. Posted in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean.
    3. Posted in this thread. People can comment here if they wish.
Pages should contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store from either permanent designers or guest designers).

    Notes:
Please make sure your gridlines are visible. Not just space on the background paper, but made of something to be visible - paint, stitching, papers, washi tape, lines, etc.

No photos required for this challenge.

Please pay attention to the second requirement: Items contained in the grid.

Is it ok to have elements stretching across the lines within the grid?

Can we use a grid that is not a square? Insteed of a 3x3, can we use a 4x2 for exemple?

From what I can tell it looks like the answer is no. The first step is:
    1. Make a page using a visible grid with 3 or more squares across and 3 or more squares down.

I know Courtney might not be awake yet. So we can wait for her to clarify.

I think that could be a no, as Courtney stated a Minimum of 3 X 3 Grid.
You could possibly do a 3 X 4, I’m seeing some in the gallery done in this format, lets see what @bestcee thinks :)

@extase - the grid does not have to be square but it does have to be at least 3 across and 3 down. So 3x4 would work. 4x2 would not

Thanks for this challenge. I loved it as it gave me a chance to look through old travel photos.
