Can you believe we are in the final stretch of MOC 10? For today's challenge, the focus is on recreating part of photo with elements, so get those creative juices flowing!
Rules:
- Photo Recreation:
- Your page must contain one photo that takes up at least 25% of your canvas
- With that same photo you must choose at least one defined feature that serves as the focal point of your page, and recreate it by covering it with a series of elements placed directly on top of your photo
- Your credits should describe what feature of your photo you recreated
- You may add a title, date and journaling, but they are not required
- Additional photos or elements can be added, but should not detract from your photo recreation
- Your photo can be new or old
- You cannot exclusively use "flat" (i.e. unshadowed) elements for your recreation
- Templates are ok as long as the challenge requirements are met
- Blended photos, masked photos, photo treatments and/or extractions are ok as long as the visible part of the photo takes up at least 25% of the page
- A one-for-one replacement of something in a photo; for example, the challenge requirement would not be met if you just covered a guitar with another guitar
- Only adding new features to a photo; for example if you were to create a shape of balloon where one didn't exist in the original photo or add a rainbow to an empty sky - neither would be considered a recreation
- A cluster of elements with no relation to your photo doesn't constitute a recreation; for example, a cluster placed on top of white space in a photo
- For portraits, choose an article of clothing to cover
- For scenic photos, you could choose to cover water with a flow of elements
- For cityscapes, you could cover a building with a series of elements
- Redecorate a birthday or wedding cake
- Add a cluster of elements on top of your photo that matches the color of what you are recreating
- Uploaded to the TLP Gallery (not an outside hosting site)
- Posted in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean
- Posted in this thread. People can comment here if they wish
- Your page must contain Lilypad product (pages with photos and font only do not count). If you use product from other stores, your pages must contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store from either permanent designers or guest designers)
