On behalf of Esther @mywisecrafts and Lisa @ArmyGrl WELCOME to Day 26 of MOC – Tickets Please! Plane tickets, train tickets, carnivals, raffles, concerts, and movies – today’s challenge comes from a love of adventure and fun and the ephemera collected along the way! Although speeding tickets and parking tickets are not fun, they are tickets and could be the basis of your layout too. Today’s challenge is very open-ended. Your requirement is to use one or more “tickets” in a layout. Examples include, but are not limited to: - Finding a ticket in your digital stash and using it as an element; - Using a template that has a ticket in it; - Going hybrid and using a ticket as your base; - A photo of you or someone else holding ticket(s); - Ticket in your title (Ticket to Ride, One Way Ticket); - Journaling with the word “ticket” or “tickets” somewhere in your journaling (please underline the word ticket if you go this route). One ticket is the minimum requirement, but you are welcome to use more than one. Your ticket(s) may show up as an element, a photo, in the title, a component of a template, or in your journaling. In your credits, please let us know how you used a ticket in your layout (e.g. I journaled about my Disney Cruise and used the word “ticket” in my journaling). MOC Challenge Rules: Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page must be posted in three places: 1. Uploaded to the TLP Gallery (not an outside hosting site). 2. Posted in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. 3. Posted in this thread. People can comment here if they wish. Your page must contain Lilypad product (pages with photos and font only do not count). Product from other stores will not be allowed for MOC; your pages must contain 100% Lilypad product (current or retired product from designers or guest designers presently selling at The Lilypad). For this challenge, you must have one or more ticket(s) or the word ticket(s) on your layout. Your ticket can be an element, a word, in a photo, part of a title, or part of a hybrid creation. We can’t wait to see your creative approach to tickets! Esther's hybrid project: Lisa's Layout: Bonus video from Esther:
**Reserved for questions** Questions: "...annual pass to Disneyland. First off, does that count as a ticket since it's a piece of paper that lets her into Disney and secondly, can it be a picture of someone else and not me?" 1. Yes. We'll take annual passes and printer paper "tickets." 2. Yes. The photo can be of anyone. I will modify the write up language to reflect anyone holding a ticket.
I have an adorable picture of Melissa when she was about 4 when she got her annual pass to Disneyland. First off, does that count as a ticket since it's a piece of paper that lets her into Disney and secondly. can it be a picture of someone else and not me?
Yes and yes! I definitely want you to be able to document the "ticket" into Disney and totally understand that sometimes tickets are paper printed. And, the picture does not have to be of you, or you in it
This is a tough one. I will have to give it some thought. Tickets are digital with scan codes these days.
From a computer or phone - take a screen shot? And remember, you are not required to have a "real" ticket on your layout. You could journal about an experience and use the word "ticket" in your journaling. You can use a designer's ticket - there are boat loads of them in the shop, or even a word art that has ticket on it. There are lots of ways to approach this challenge.
