***CLOSED*** JANUARY 22: SCRAPLIFT A BOOKCOVER

I had to scroll back in my Storygraph through two years of my books read before I found a cover that inspired me! I started to wonder where everyone's finding the scrapworthy book covers.

Here it is, followed by my page.

I scraplifted the Kindle/Audible version of the cover of Mila 18 by Leon Uris. I was inspired by the color palette, the blocking, the title in white and the single silhouette image.

The world of books is so vast, I was initially overwhelmed by the thought of choosing one, but I went to my Goodreads and just scrolled through my list of books I want to read and chose from there! I went with this one because I loved the cool 3D title work!

and here's my take:

This has been the most challenging "challenge" for me so far. Deciding on a book cover -- then I saw this one in my history and it sparked a memory of a specific photo. Anyway digging back into 2006 photos (loved my little Canon Powershot, but only 3.2 Mpx). Then I couldn't decide how was going to "use" my book cover in order to have enough TLP products. It isn't obvious, but there was some work to add some space at the top of my photo to make room for the "author" and title. So, I arrived here.

And here is the book cover that caused me to go rummaging through the past.
