January 22: Paper to Digi

I used January Storyteller from Just Jaimee Hunter




My Inspiration was this pocket layout from Brennatay

 

It was hard to narrow it down to one layout to lift. I chose a card by grrfluudy/Johanna. I lifted the collaged doll, frame and flowers. I expanded it into more of an art journaling layout.

I took these photos last night and they were screaming to be scrapped immediately.


Journaling says;
"We love our football. We bought a venue pack not knowing who would be in the quarter final. Imagine our excitement when it turned out to be the Socceroos.
There is no feeling like watching your National Team play. They didn't let us down either. Australia won! 2-0 Both goals scored by Timmy Cahill. One was a bicycle kick and the other a trademark header. An inspiring game to watch for an aspiring Socceroo. What an amazing memory for Cian to have. I am so glad I could share this with him.
The last time we saw Australia play in Brisbane Cian was not quite 9yrs old and hardly remembers it. Asian Cup 2015 he will remember and he will be able to recall it to inspire himself to strive harder."

I was inspired by 3litteK's Hello Happy layout:



I loved her pops of color and black against the white background, the way the papers strips lifted off the page, and her general layout and composition. I used Valorie's a bit worn masks and puppet warped my shadows to help give the digital layout the same lift of the paper one.

The title in this page by Katydid grabbed me instantly, and when I opened it larger to look, I knew this was the page I wanted to lift. Love the design, the colors, everything. So, I kept everything pretty much the same... except we don't have chickens, so there had to be a different subject matter to the page

(My attempts at creating my own drop shadows with the Gaussian Blur are in great need of improvement, but one must start somewhere, right?)

For MOC 22: Paper to Digi - I was inspired by the colours in this wonderful hybrid piece by mimisgirl - the blue + orange together is just so happy! I digitally modified a few of the papers to match the colours in the hybrid art work.
