Welcome to Day 22 of MOC. I hope you have been having a blast so far and learning some new tricks. I know I have! Did you know that we have an incredible Hybrid gallery here at the Pad? If you are like me, then probably not. Lately I have been diving into some hybrid/paper scrapping and I think I am hooked. This led me to click on our Hybrid Gallery just the other day and OH. MY. GOODNESS. I have totally been missing out. We have some incredibly talented hybrid people with 134+ pages of gorgeousness for your eyes to feast upon. Many of you, like myself, probably got your start in paper scrapping and if you didn't that's great too. When I started digital scrapping I loved to get inspiration from my paper days. I loved using things like buttons, staples, tape, etc….. that added so much bulk to my pages but were hard to fit in the albums. Digi made that so easy for me. I can staple and stitch and glue and glitter all I want with no clean up afterwards. I can leave my paints out without fear of my children changing the color of my walls. For this challenge we are going to click on that amazing LilyPad Hybrid Gallery and we are going to use all that awesomeness to inspire us in our own work of art. For your challenge I want you to find a page or a project in the LilyPad Hybrid Gallery that was done paper/hybrid style that has something that you like and I want you to recreate it digitally. This does not mean that you have to scrap lift an entire layout/project, but you are certainly welcome to. In your post you need to link to the page/project you chose for inspiration as well as tell us what you recreated digitally. Examples could be: design, theme, colors, stitching, buttons, frames, paint…... And, don't forget to leave some love on the person's page/project you are using. We all love to hear praise on our work. So here is my example to get you started. I chose this beautiful work by Brynn Marie. I was inspired by her theme of travel and I used shapes of places I wanted to visit like she did with places she's lived. I also recreated the stitching and paint digitally. I also chose to pretty much scrap lift the whole thing since I loved the design. my version: More examples: You could be inspired by the use of the page protector in this one and use a digital page protector on your layout. Or maybe you are inspired by the trees or shapes used to make the trees and you create your own really cool trees using digital shapes in your stash. Now give it a go. ***The rules are as follows: Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Please post your page in your page thread you created in this folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. You should also post your page here in this thread, and people can comment here if they wish. Pages should contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store from either permanent designers or guest designers).***
I was already working on this page and I didn't know what it needed. Then I saw this: And I thought, "yes! I need to add some wrinkles!" So a couple of Lynne-Marie's awesome Tattered Overlays later... So much better! Perfect challenge! Thanks, Amanda
