Hello and welcome to today's challenge. This is a Style Challenge called Fill 'er up, please. In this challenge I want you to fill up your layout with digital goodness. This is your opportunity to use the digital eye candy we see week after week, from our super-talented designers, to showcase your memories. In this challenge we will be creating more traditional scrapbooking pages incorporating lots of elements, brushes, and/or papers. Since this is the 5th MOC, let’s fill up our page with at least 5 photos. There really isn’t a nice little one-word synonym for this type of page. This challenge is the opposite of the simple and clean/minimalist type layout. Maximalist is the obvious antonym to minimalist, but the spell-checker seems to disagree. So just think of a layout teeming with goodies. A template is not part of the requirements for this challenge, but if you need a little assistance getting started, our designers have some delightful templates that are great for Filled Up layouts. Here are a few examples of Filled Up Layout Templates: Here is my page. I used Fiddlesticks Set 3 by Fiddle Dee Dee, About a Boy by Amy Wolff, Barksley by Etc by Danyale, and Press Lines No. 7 - Laughter by Paislee Press. Requirements: 1. Create a single page layout where over half of the layout is filled up with digital elements, brushes, papers, and photos besides your background paper. 2. Include at least 5 different photos in your layout. 3. Pocket pages are allowed. Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page should be uploaded to the TLP Gallery and not an outside hosting site. Please post your page in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. You should also post your page here in this thread, and people can comment here if they wish. Pages should contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store). All MOC pages must be posted in your main MOC page thread by 11:59 pm eastern time on February 2 in order to count! Have fun as you Fill 'er up, please.
@Iowan Can't see your sample Some would call it cluttered; some would say disorderly. But it's efficient full use of space with a complexity all it's own.
Now we're talking!!! This is my kind of scrapping! When I first started digi scrapping, I was told that my layouts were too full. To me, you can never fill a layout with enough goodness!!! Now I do everything, from white space to spilling over and everything in between, but I still LOVE this type of layout!!!
Well I filled this up as much as humanly possible for me .... its bright, fun and a WHOLE lot of stuff going on . Thanks for the great challenge!
I feel you Barbara. You might have a look at some of Lynn Grieveson's gorgeous templates - filled up, but very clean.
