January 2018 Project Pages

Yes. Every month there is a new thread to post pages made that month. This thread is where you can share pages made in January.

 

And here are my first 2018 pages!

 

My first time doing Project Life! These took me longer than I had planned, but I had such an awesome time creating them!

 

Here is my first page for the year and my first pocket style page:

 

Just finished week 1!! I'm changing the templates I'm using this year, but that's really the only change I'm making.

 

I can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing for PL this year. I think I may go super simple like @Scrapping with Liz mentioned, just word art and journal cards. Would honestly love to do mostly black and white cards, but we'll see.

Still working on November 2017, here are the two pages I finished today...

 

I need to get started with 2018 but I wasn't sure what to do. I've changed my pockets to something else but I have to make my first week, which is always a little bit hectic because my twins turned 2 this year. So lots and lots of pictures but to less time to add them to their photoalbum.

I really love your pages! If I see how many pages you make I wonder how many time you spend on them. Do you know how many hours a week you spend to your pages?

 

I finally got Week 1 done...it's still a work in progress and we'll see how it flows.

 

I made a start with 2018. I'm also still working on my 2017 album but I'd like to keep on track with most recent pages so

I make both albums for my twins the same, except for some pictures and text. This is the first year I'm including QR codes for the videos. I'm a little bit skeptic about it because I'm afraid the video's won't work anymore in 10 or 20 years, but that's something to worry about then

 

@bestcee thanks for the tip about the layouts in the gallery. I've added them and changed the links. I didn't knew it worked that way.

And you are right about the QR codes, now I don't use the videos and with the QR code we can watch them more easily.

 

Still haven't started 2018, still working on 2017...

I did one in 2014 and 2015. I stopped it beacause I had no enough time. But this year I'm motivated !

I'm pretty happy with my format -- just hoping to catch up on 2017 while keeping up with 2018.

 

Week 2 down...

 

I still actually have a couple weeks of 2017 to do... but I jumped in and did Week 1 anyway! Sahlin Studio has these new weekly cards, trying to decided if I want to commit to use them every week... I do love them but I have a hard time committing to the whole year LOL!

Well, I'm learning the hard way, but thankfully it's only the end of week 2 in my book. I've always done monthly pages - but that kind of limited me to how many photos from a month I could use. I found I usually had more photos to use than my desired 2 page spread for the month. So I decided I was going to do a weekly book - so I could capture some more of those "now moments" such as why I took a picture of my GPS alerting me to update. LOL

Anyway....now I'm finding I don't take quite enough pictures for a weekly 2 page spread. LOL. I've started using SWL's weekly 2018 pages, so my dates will be what are already on there. THANK YOU! @Scrapping with Liz made it super easy on me!!!

Anyway, I'm going to have to dig through my husband's and kids' phones to see if they have anything, or maybe condense them down into a one page spread until I learn to start taking a few more photos. hahah
