You're correct in that you really need to read the sequel to get the 'real' ending of the story. Book 2 does finish it off, though, with no annoying cliffhanger. Sooooo good!
I haven't gotten the sequel yet, but I did like the first book. I know it's good for the authors, but I like books that are a complete experience, without having to commit to another book.
I'm trying to join in because one of my goals this year is to read at least 2 books per month - but I am like, #17 on the waitlist at the library. So, we will see if I get it before the end of the month. Lol!
Oh bummer @tinkerbell1112 ! But if you like it as much as I did, it won't take long to read once you get it!
Wow. Just wow. Maybe you could try Audible. It's the only way I'm able to get any books "read" anymore. First book is free to try. @tinkerbell1112 @lealawson
Wow! That's amazing! I get all excited if my library has more than one copy, but I know they've never had 25 copies of anything. Lucky you!
I just finished part two of this series and I loved it! Fast paced and I couldn't put it down wanting to know what was going to happen. Question... for those of you that read both Stillhouse Lake and Killman Creek... What on earth do you think book 3 is even going to be about? I almost don't want to read it because I'm happy where book 2 ended. KWIM? @londoncuppa
I didn't see a book 3 in the series. Is there one? Now I'm going to have to go look. I'm with you. The story completely wrapped up. I don't see what they could write about unless it has a brand new, unrelated plot.
It's listed on Goodreads as coming in December 2018. No description yet though. Seems really weird to me. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/36565384-wolfhunter-river
ok... I've started this, and I'm just about ready to start Chapter 4. It's not grabbing me in yet. Usually by this point, I can't put the book down. Does it get a little faster paced soon? I think the backstory mingled in with the new story is slowing it down.
Hmmm.... I'm curious to see what it's going to be about. I've always been a fan of Rachel Caine (love Morganville Vampires), so I'll probably give it a go.
It definitely gets better. The beginning was weird to me too... like I wasn't really "feeling" why on earth they needed to keep moving if the husband was in jail... just keep reading... I really think you'll like it if you stick with it just a bit longer.
It was so good that I couldn't put the first book down. Immediately read the second book in the series and am on the pre-order list at Amazon for the 3rd one when it comes out.
so I picked this up from the library around 2 today and started it waiting for my daughter at school. Couldn't put it down. Just starting chapter 4 (those feel like long chapters) and I'm totally sucked in. That really surprises me because I'm not normally into this genre. Maybe I just don't give any a chance! I had to stop to finally start making dinner. hahahha
