Used tip #1 - Light, and tip #3 Editing
In the first photo he was seated next to a large window
and in the second photo there was a lot of light in the room,
but coming from the sides and above, so I had to lighten
the shadows a bit and adjust the color somewhat.

Edited in LR - converted to black and white so I could declutter background and draw focus on subjects. Also cropped and sharpened.

I almost only use my phone camera these days - since it's always handy! I used Camera+ to edit these poorly lit pictures.

I took this image in the early morning, so there was no natural light and the colors were kind of dark. I turned it to black and white to hide the color issues.

    Day 20!

I caught up with an old school friend last night and her mum took this pic of us - I used an instagram filter and vignette before uploading to PSE and duplicating and adding a screen blend.

I only recently got a DSLR and I don't know how to use the setting on this one yet. I used the auto function and then held my flash shut so I could capture the neon glow of the black-lights. I then brightened the photo a little in PE.

i had no idea how much i rely on the flash and usually my external dslr flash to add light to our indoor pics, but then i also realised i take a lot of evening and night shots - this was probably the hardest challenge for me for that reason - my kids are not terribly tolerant of the camera at the moment much less requests to move slightly so we can get better natural light so this was a chance shot near an open window. Edited in Fotor with a Lomo filter (i heard about Fotor through a thread here at TLP and it is wonderful! Easy to use and lots of options).

I took a photo in a store today, I was conscious to "leave" the background out of the photo + try do my best with the light.
I used LR to improve in some way my photo

I have used a photo of my phone with no flash and turn it with a B&W action.

Took this with my IPhone 5. Touched them up in Pic.Tap.Go. Thanks for the great challenge! :)

Here is mine. I was trying to find good light and to pay attention to the background - a combo that is difficult in my house. I also edited in RadLab.

Okay..don't laugh but I haven't uploaded any phone photos to scrap ever so this was a good nudge to clear out my phone. :) I shot with morning light and tried to get a close-up but I'm not fully happy with it. I edited it a bit to make the colors more vibrant.
