January 19: 'Same but Different' Elements!

Awesome challenge! Justine dear, just a question in case that an element includes more than one of my selected elements, can I use it? for example a button that includes 3 equal buttons, but that is just one element in the kit.

I have some questions that relate. Can I use heart stamps if they are all very distinct? If they can’t be used as stamps, can they be used if a style is applied to make it more physical? Finally, if I have 10 physical hearts can the stamps also be included?

Hi, just checking if I'm understanding - you would be using a group of 3 buttons that are all the same but are all part of one PNG in a kit?
If that's right, I'm inclined to say either try to extract just 1 of the buttons or mask the other 2, OR more simply (that I'd do because I find adding easier), add at least an extra 9 unique buttons to your page and make sure to cover 2 of the buttons from that grouped element. Does that help?

Hi, I'll try to answer each question.
If you are featuring heart stamps that is a very narrow specific thing, and as you say, all of them looking distinctly different would suggest maybe there's a flourish inside one, one is solid, out is a dashed outline etc. As long as that's clear, you can use 10+ heart stamps (postage or ink stamps). They can be the same or different ink colour as long as they are unique heart stamps. The design of each heart being different is the feature.

You can apply styles if you want to differentiate them but please follow the not recolouring rule. (For example, using the same flourish heart in a pink heart puffy sticker style & then a blue sticker style & a yellow sticker style etc)

If you want to just feature 'hearts', a less narrow specific element, you can use stamps & whatever else you want.

Let me know if I missed anything

Justine dear, thank you so much for the advice, well I went with hearts, one of the elements included 3 hearts (Happy at home from Elif Sahin Designs), so I crop it, and I let just one heart over the plant. Here's my take, I went thru all my stash first searching buttons, then hearts, lol. Wishing you a wonderful day!

Fun challenge!
7 of the eyes I've used were separate elements. The rest (didn't count them...) I cut them from faces and art dolls. I hope it's ok, now I'm second-guessing my choice...

So to be clear, I decided this meets the spirit of the challenge - they're all eyes that you featured but they're all different :agree

Ok it's bedtime here so i'll come back to check for questions in the (Aussie time) morning - if in doubt, re-read the Recap of Rules, check the visual guide and check the question/answer list in the second post.

I like challenges where I get to use lots of my favorite element :fairydance
