January 16: Inspiration From Quotes Hello Everyone! I hope you are enjoying our challenges so far? I am beyond excited to be hosting my first MOC challenge as a Polly !!! I am a big fan of quotes. I find them inspiring and often use them as a starting point for a layout. I also use them on my pages to talk about my photo. I struggle with journaling and, quite often, a quote says everything that I want to say, or everything that I'm feeling about my photo. This challenge is to do just that. Pick ONE of the quotes below and use it on your layout. Simple!? 1. "The road to my heart is paved with pawprints"thedogington post.com 2. "Be happy in the moment, that's enough. Each moment is all we need" Mother Teresa 3. "Being a mother is about strengths you didn't know you had... and dealing with fears you never knew existed" Linda Wooten 4. "There is no time to be bored in a world as beautiful as this" Anonymous 5. "There is no wi-fi in the forest. But I promise you will find a better connection" thechive.com There are only 2 rules; 1. Your layout MUST feature your CHOSEN QUOTE. Clearly readable. 2. Your layout MUST have a PHOTO (more than one is fine too) Your photo can be old or new. So that's it. Be inspired and create a layout in your own style. I can't wait to see your quote inspired layouts My example page using Quote No.2 And this from Annemieke using Quote No. 3 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page must be posted in three places: Uploaded to the TLP Gallery (not an outside hosting site). Posted in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. Posted in this thread. People can comment here if they wish. Pages should contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store from either permanent designers or guest designers)
I chose the Mother Teresa quote as I felt it went well with the fun my Ken was having with two of our grandchildren not long before he had his massive heart attack. A main artery to his heart was 99% blocked. He had two stents and two balloons, takes lots of pills but is still having lots of fun with our grandchildren.
fab challenge... and, congrats on the MOC gig this year, Karen! quotes, lyrics, dictionary definitions... some of my fav journaling inspirations... now, to choose which quote... this will be fun!
Great quotes! Thanks for choosing a mix of quotes that cover so many different scrapbook themes, from family to travel to pets.
Is the mother Teresa quote the one on the list or the one you included on your page? They’re different.
