Used the technique on the bow at the top. I think this will be one I will use often. No more moving things around to accommodate.

Thanks for all of the awesome tips! I still use PSE after all these years :( I went from PSE4 to PSE 10 a couple of years ago :giggle
FINALLY, no more puffy edges where my ribbon and photo (or paper) meet :cheer I also C&P'ed a different thread end along with learning to make a shadow on a seperate layer (if that makes sense, lol) Loved this challenge.... Thanks bunches :luvya

I chose the second option (since my PS doesn't have Puppet Warp) and have the string both on and under the journal card.

I used puppet warp to pull down the middle of the orange and white string away from the photo.

I warped the string so that it wouldn't cover the card

This took me forever because I kept wanting to play with shadows on everything! lol! So, thanks for the great lesson and the work-around for us PSE users. I threaded the left side of my banner through a hole in the eyelet flower at the top left and then I played a bit with the ribbon on the frame. So fun once I got the hang of it! :)

I totally wish I had Puppet Warp! But, I have PSE, so in my top left cluster, I ran the string through the hole in the guitar and behind it.

I tried to follow the directions for creating a layer mask on the paper clip and then using the brush tool. I couldn't get it to work right for me, so I used the eraser instead so that I could get it posted. I'll keep playing with this to try to learn the technique in PSE 11. Although I am not going to get all the challenges done at this point, I was happy to learn all the new things the challenges offered. I may continue making layouts with the remaining challenges.

Thanks so much for this challenge! I think I did it correctly. I use PSE 11.
