Welcome to day 10 of MOC 2026! I am thrilled that MOC is back and even more thrilled to be hosting another challenge!

Today, we are exploring the theme of moving forward through a photo or photos! Moving forward doesn’t mean forgetting or rushing past what came before. It means carrying what mattered, releasing what no longer fits, and choosing—again and again—to take the next step. Sometimes moving forward is bold and visible; other times it’s quiet, steady, and deeply personal. Progress isn’t about how far you’ve gone—it’s about continuing to go.

This photography challenge invites you to capture the quiet, powerful moments that show what it looks like to keep moving forward—one step, one frame, one story at a time.

My challenge to you is to take a NEW photo of something that represents moving forward to you. Here are some prompts that might help get you started:
  • The Next Step
Photograph feet, shoes, or a path ahead.
Focus: Beginning again, even when the step feels small.
  • Open Door / Open Space
Capture a doorway, gate, window, or wide-open space.
Focus: What’s opening up for you right now?
  • A Sign of Direction
Photograph arrows, road signs, trails, or lines leading forward.
    Focus: Guidance—clear or uncertain.
Photo Challenge Requirements:
- Take at least one photo of something that represents moving forward. Since this is a photography challenge, your photo must be a new photo taken today or after today. The photo must be taken by you; using stock photos or photos taken by others will not be allowed for this challenge.
- Your page MUST include more than just a photo and background paper. You can scrap in any style you like, but scrap products must be used.
- Have fun!

I took the artsy route for this challenge.
The photo is unedited itself but masked and blended into the background and card by LBW. I took it while I was outside, it was raining outside and the snow was melting away.
I love how it captures movement -even when we stand still (I had to for this photo), the world around us keeps changing. There is something comforting in noticing that quiet transformation and allowing yourself to enjoy it. I wanted this page to feel a little dreamy and I think it does.
Thanks for the challenge, Jan!

Perfect timing! In the morning we went for a walk in a small forest on the outskirts of the city, to enjoy the fresh air and the peace and quiet. We go there especially in winter, if there is no snow, or when we have some free time during the week, trying to avoid the crowds. Otherwise, it is full of people there and it is not so pleasant and peaceful, at least for us... The picture is taken by me, Adi hates taking pictures.

I purchased the new (2026) version of PSE a few weeks ago, but procrastinated installing it - probably because I was reluctant to get out of my comfort zone with the old version (2023). This morning I made the leap! I still have a learning curve ahead, but I am moving forward! Perfect timing for this challenge, and the "Shift" mixed media kit from Lynn G and Rachel J is perfect!
