I think I need to do a lot of playing with this. I just couldn't get anything to work for me. I finally did what I could manually. Image is linked.
This was quite the challenge. I tried a variety of things. Finally settled on several copies of paint stroke 2,3,4 under the photo in multiple sizes and directions and then again on top of the photo with a linear burn. All on the canvas paper. I then framed it and used it on the page. The frame is from the Portraits Kit (Sahin Designs)
Love this, Dalis! items used from NBK's mini kit on the photo: 1. nbk-MOC8-paintstroke5 2. nbk-MOC8-gesso-paints4 3. nbk-MOC8-gesso-paints8 4. nbk-MOC8-paintstroke2
I REALLY hope this meets the requirements. Not sure why I struggled so much with this one! Here's what I used from the kit (and the blending modes): 1. Abstract paper background + Color Burn 2. Gesso Paints 7 (on the background paper, top left) 3. Gesso Paints 8 + Pin Light (photo treatment) 4. Gesso Paints 6 + Pin Light (photo treatment) 5. Gesso Paints 9 + Pin Light (photo treatment) 6. Gesso Paints 8 + Pin Light (photo treatment)
This was fun! Here is my take on it. I used: paint stroke 5 gesso paint 9 gesso paint 7 gesso paint 8 gesso paint 6 paint stroke 3 dynamic paint brushes
From the toolkit, I used the canvas paperand paintstrokes 2 and 4. (I think I used one more paintstroke, but I forgot to note it.)
While I'm sad to have missed the last few days of MOC I'm still going to catching up on the challenges after a weekend away .... better late than never I always say Thanks for the great challenge Dalis!! And thanks for the gift toolbox Nicole! I used the brushes to make a mask for my photo and I added some paint on top and the gesso, I used a few layers for the photo including soft light to get the canvas texture to show through..... I like how it turned out! Items used from tookbox: 1 - nbk-MOC8-Paper-canvas 2 - nbk-paintstroke3.png 3 - nbk-paintstroke4.png 4 - nbk-paintstroke10.png 5 - nbk-MOC8-gesso-paints1Here is my page
