It's Monday....

Oh... and I told my family. We were on the floor laughing... and they asked for a demonstration! :compcoffee:compcoffee:compcoffee

Great Jenn, loved your story. One day, as I was walking into school, I noticed I had on one black and one navy blue shoe. Ok, that is forgivable, the closet was dark, but the black shoe had a much higher heel! :crazy3:giggle:giggle:giggle:giggle:run

These stories are so great! My brother-in-law went to a church meeting with two different socks on. When someone mentioned them to him he just said....yeah, I have another pair just like them at home!

Well, I tried to pay for my groceries at Costco with my driver's license one time. After swiping it thru the machine a few times with unsuccessful results the guy at the register looked at it and said, Ma'am, that's your driver's license. Sure enough. He was right. I got to laughing about it so bad on the way out to the car. I think my husband and daughter were more embarrassed about it than I was. The more I thought about it the more I laughed. My only regret....I don't think fast enough. If I could think faster I would have looked at that guy and said, There! Now THAT put a smile on your face, didn't it! Think of the funny story you have to tell tonight when you get home! I still laugh over it and I did do a layout about it. Too good not to! :)

Too funny, good to hear that your personality is to laugh at your self. I do this all the time and my hubby will tell me. I just say ‘yes, I did that on purpose!’

I wouldn't be where I am today without these moments in my life. I learned that in hard times, people support and surround me, to have faith during uncertain moments, pick myself up after a good cry and work hard. I surprised myself with how easily I forgave the employee. She found out that I was let go, and cried/confessed, and said she didn't think it would end up how it did. It is what it is.

I agree - moments like these stink so much, but realizing that they make up who we are . . . it's a great moment when you can realize that and forgive, like you did.

As far as I know, I've never had this happen to me but 40+ years ago, this happened to a neighbor of mine named Hannah who told us this story in England. There was some book that was popular back then (for women of course!) telling you how to appear sexy e.g stroking your hair, constantly licking an ice cream cone or wearing your coat/raincoat over your shoulders, not with your arms in. Well Hannah was single, and did the raincoat routine. Finally later in the day, arriving back at work, someone told her her coat was inside out...yes, label showing. She said she gave up on sexy and hoped just not to be thought stupid.

Ah Hannah, you were a source of a lot of stories!!
