Internet Usage

Yep, stuck in the same boat - for now! I don't think they calculate it completely correct, but it's a hard battle to fight, so we pay the extra $30. It's amazing how quickly that adds up since we don't pay for cable tv, but we stream.

Luckily, fiber is being laid in our town, so as soon as we get it - gone to unlimited faster internet! I can't wait!!

(It also ticks me off that they put stupid limits on the service unless you pay more when the only one throttling is them, but that's a whole different pet peeve).

We do have a limited phone plan - 5gb then slow speed. Doesn't bother me, I rarely hit the 5GB!

Yeah, my hubby is the account manage for our internet, so he gets those same warnings and then comes to hunt my youngest son (last one at home) and then me to see what we've been using. He can even check to see which device is the worst and it's ALWAYS my son and his giant game downloads. :giggle It's pretty cool they can show that by device!

I agree! And I know who is the lion's share around here, and it's not me. His name starts with Daniel. :giggle

I don't think we have a limit. Hubby manages all of that. But since he works from home (and I work from home doing digi stuff) and we have 9 people living in one house, 5 of us with phones, 6 computers, lots of on-line classes, etc... I think we would meet our limit pretty quickly if we did have a limit....although I will say none of my kids are gamers and we only stream TV/Movies about 1x a week. And can I give a shout out to my hubby who keeps up with all of our technology and makes sure it's running smoothly?!

I've had Verizon FIOS for over a decade here in Fredericksburg, VA, and I don't recall ever having a limit on home internet. Maybe we did back in Prodigy days in the mid-1990's. :P I hope FIOS or something good comes to compete with Xfinity for you soon!!!
