We are about to get started! I have till Tuesday? ! I hope I can handle that*..... anxiously awaiting instructions. ... and place holding. And now adding.... I think I like how it turned out!
1. Applying the Rule of Thirds, divide your page into thirds and use a patterned paper for 2/3 of the background, and a solid paper for the remaining 1/3. 2. Step 2: Use something to attach the two papers together (staples, ric rac, tape, etc.) 3. Pick a black and white photo (or convert one from color to B&W) and put it along the line that divides the patterned and solid papers. 4. Add some paint and/or stamps to your page. 5. Use word art, word snips in place of or along with your journaling to state a simple message 6. Use less than 5 additional embellishments and a title to complete your page. And here is my finished page using the BYOC.
here is my take! I actually am happy with how it turned out! I would never put a picture along the edge of the paper, but I like the concept! https://the-lilypad.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=201539&title=slow-scrap-currently&cat=500

I missed the bit about plain paper first time around so had to do some major jigging around. Hmm I still prefer my original version. Oh well, I'm just not a plain paper type of scrapper!
