I had a TLP real life meet up!

    I just had to share with you all how great it was for me to catch up with one of our wonderful TLP members @KarenW in REAL LIFE today! Yes .... internet people are REAL! ... and lovely ...and funny! Karen was up in Brisbane warming up for the weekend away from her frosty home town way down south and I can say we turned on a lovely warm sunshine-y day just for her! We had a great time catching up with each other after only ever chatting here at TLP and on FB. We hung out, ate Hokey-Pokey ice-cream cones, laughed and of course took the mandatory selfie together!

    That is so great! Don't know if it is just this photo, but you guys look like you could be sisters!

    I am hoping to meet some of you in a few years when we wander back over to the US. <3

    That's wonderful! I've had several meetups with my on line friends, and I agree! There's nothing better that meeting them IRL!

    You two look a lot more like sisters than my two daughters! :D

    I met my husband online in 1994 and have met many other people online. In 2003 I started a local homeschool group that continues to this day and led to meeting many homeschooling parents online first. And around 2009 and 2011 or so, I drove a couple hundred miles to meet a group of digital scrappers from the forum I was active in at that time. I definitely think this is a fabulous thing! :grouphug
