I'm sure there must be a tutorial somewhere on how to fill those .svg cut files but it's beyond me right now. I loved @lmccandless 's layout but my brain cells are not co-operating in figuring out the 'how to'.

    Help please!

Thanks, Maureen! I appreciate the shout out about the technique. It's a really fun one and I think that I have a relatively simple way of doing it.

    1. Pull the cut file onto your layout first.
    2. Choose your background paper and your fill paper.
    3. Use a magic wand to select the exterior shape of the cut file.
    4. Select inverse, then make sure you have your fill paper selected. Hit delete.
    5. For any areas in between the letters that I want to show through, I simply ctrl-shift to select all and then delete that section from the fill paper so the background shows through.
    6. I then clip any elements to that fill paper layer to make sure they don't stick out.

Let me know if you want a quick video! :) @cookingmylife

This is the end result for those who are wondering...

That's awesome Laura! The depth of the shadowing makes it look like the letters are boxes holding a bunch of little items inside.
