hope that makes sense. i want to cut out from my top paper the shape of the swl cut out and show the color below. i am using ps cc. hope someone can give me the steps or a tutorial thanks so much
I hope I don't miss a step with what I do... but this is what I generally do. I put the cut out on a sheet of paper, merge the two and use the little magic wand tool to select the cut out... then hit delete! Add the shadow and I think you have the look you're wanting. If the paper you want to cut out is patterned, it might make sense to use a solid first and then clip the patterned paper to it. I hope that makes sense. Please let me know if it doesn't!
oy i tried it but did it a different way on the layout... got the cut out and see the paper behind it but cant get a shadow. so it looks cut out
Is this like the swiss cheese effect? Check this out and let me know if I'm thinking this is what you want? https://the-lilypad.com/forum/threa...ique-challenge-1-swiss-cheese-dsd-2018.58090/ As for your shadow issue, try the other paper you are working with... the top most layer above the cut out.
