As Xmas is approaching, I have started to get into the holiday spirit and want to decorate next week. What about you?

1. Do you decorate? When?
2. Do you change them up every year or have family faves?
3. One room or many rooms are decorated?
4. Do you decorate outdoors?

1. Do you decorate? When?
Next week I will get the tree up and by the end of the month I will have the garlands and decor put out.

2. Do you change them up every year or have family faves?
Every year I add something new and change the theme for the tree.

3. One room or many rooms are decorated?
I decorate the main living area - living room, dining room and kitchen.

4. Do you decorate outdoors?
We have outdoor permanent lights all year long and at Xmas time we switch the colors to a holiday theme. I have a table on the porch to put a Xmas planter on. My youngest pup gets triggered by outdoor figures so I don't put any out but if she didn't trigger I would love to put out some twinkly reindeer.

1. Do you decorate? When?
Yes after Thanksgiving (sometimes Thanksgiving night if we're bored which will probably be this year lol)
2. Do you change them up every year or have family faves?
Same every year
3. One room or many rooms are decorated?
Just the main living room
4. Do you decorate outdoors?
I love wrapping the front railing in lights but I think that strand of lights died.

1. Do you decorate? When?
Yes, the first day of the school Christmas Holidays. Usually a few days before Christmas
2. Do you change them up every year or have family faves?
The same stuff mostly, but sometimes the children get creative and make new ornaments so they can have a colour scheme or a theme.
3. One room or many rooms are decorated?
The lounge, and the dinning area
4. Do you decorate outdoors?
no

Do you decorate? When? I do minimal decorating. When depends on my mood. Some years it is around Thanksgiving. Some years it is in December.

Do you change them up every year or have family faves? I have 2 small table top trees that I rotate putting on a rolling cart in my dining room. Although last year I put one on the cart and one in the living room. My favorite though is the 3' table top tree that I put on my marble table in the living room. It is plugged into the timer so is the only light in the living room in the evenings.

One room or many rooms are decorated? Tree and a wall hanging made by a cousin many years ago in the living room. A ceramic tree in the kitchen (actually never put it away last year). Small table top tree in the dining room. Kitchen/dining room are actually one long area with no walls between them. A small display of "missing family members" on a shelf in the dining room. It has 2 chairs and 3 dog beds around a tree with a poem displayed about how they are always near. I also have a table top white tree in my office. I leave it out all year.

Do you decorate outdoors? Nope. I would like to have lights around the fencing on my patio but haven't figured out how to do it so I could plug them in to the outlet that is not near any of the fencing. It is the north side of the house so solar probably wouldn't work well since there is also landscaping bushes on the other side of the fence that are tall. Very little sun hits back there. When it snows, it takes a long time for the snow to go away if the temps stay cold.

1. Do you decorate? When?
I started on decorating on November first.

2. Do you change them up every year or have family faves?
I reuse the same decorations. Sometimes I change which ornaments we use, but generally, I used the same things. I bought a couple new things this year!

3. One room or many rooms are decorated?
Many rooms

4. Do you decorate outdoors?
Yes! Still working on it since the weather has been crap! I was doing some yard clean up today and porch decorating, but now it's raining! At least the crazy wind stopped, though!

1. Do you decorate? When? Yes. The last few years, we put up a tree the end of November/beginning of December and hung our "Happy Hanukkah" banner at around the same time. The menorahs don't come out until a few nights before we start lighting them because they live on our stovetop and we have no space, really.

2. Do you change them up every year or have family faves? Pretty consistent decor. Got a tree in 2023 and decorate it with a mish-mash of ornaments. Get a few new ones every year. Last year we did two balloon garlands and I may be persuaded to do one this year.

3. One room or many rooms are decorated? Mostly the living room. We had a balloon garland over the bed last year too.

4. Do you decorate outdoors? Does decorating the banana tree for family photos count? :giggle We may put up some lights we already own outside this year. The neighbor we share a wall with hangs a light-up wreath at the peak where our homes intersect and I like to pretend it counts as us decorating.

1. Do you decorate? When? After Sinterklaas (7-8/12)
2. Do you change them up every year or have family faves? I love the ornaments made by my grand children ...
3. One room or many rooms are decorated? Only the living room and a few small accents in the kitchen.
4. Do you decorate outdoors? No

1. Do you decorate? When? Yes, usually starting the day after Thanksgiving. This year though I made a new wreath and Christmas swag on Nov 8th and I liked the swag so much I found a place to put it up when I got home. Lol.

2. Do you change them up every year or have family faves? Usually the same each year with maybe one or two new things thrown in for fun. I started collecting nutcrackers a few years ago, so I usually get one new one each year now.

3. One room or many rooms are decorated? Mostly the living room, but a few things sprinkled throughout the house.

4. Do you decorate outdoors? Yes, but minimally. My hubby puts up icicles lights along the gutters and the 2 front sides of our house (we have a corner lot)

1. Do you decorate? When? Yes. Always on the first Sunday of Advent, which this year is November 30th.

2. Do you change them up every year or have family faves? Usually the same each year. Sometimes a few new little things are added.

3. One room or many rooms are decorated? All our rooms and the corridor are decorated.

4. Do you decorate outdoors? Minimal. Just a string of lights on the terrace railing.

1. Do you decorate? When? Pretty much only a Christmas tree, the day after Thanksgiving and the mantle of the fireplace if we happen to have one where we're currently living. (We move every 2-3 years in the military.)

2. Do you change them up every year or have family faves? We change the "generic" ornaments and garlands up every few years but when my kids were little I started a tradition of buying them a special ornament each year that symbolized something significant that year... like when my kids started playing an instrument they got an ornament of a clarinet, violin etc, or last year was a gas can ornament for my teenage driver. Those ornaments come out every year.

3. One room or many rooms are decorated? Just the living/family room and maybe a few things scattered here and there.

4. Do you decorate outdoors? Normally no but this year I got some jumbo Christmas bulb pathway lights. Now that we're nearing retirement I think I'll collect and actually decorations more often!

1. Do you decorate? When?
Yes, I do. My tree is ready to receive its decorations. I will wait this weekend or next weekend to decorate.

2. Do you change them up every year or have family faves?
No, I don't. I have a good stock so we try every year not to use always the same colors. Last year, we decorated with blue ; this year maybe we will use white and silver decorations.

3. One room or many rooms are decorated?
Your living room is decorated. When the children were young they wanted decorations in their bedroom. But now they are teenagers... and don't want any more. I will try to decorate my desk and craft desk this year (if I have time)

4. Do you decorate outdoors?
No, I don't. With the days getting shorter, we close the shutters very early, so we don't decorate outside because we wouldn't be able to enjoy it.
