At this time of year, many of us are entertaining.

I'm hosting our Xmas party next wkend and am still planning what finger food to put out.

I am making air fryer mexican pinwheels. I'll make layered chicken salad brick sandwiches. My daughter is going to make decorative grinch appies and trees (I'll be sure to take pics to show). I want to make a few more appies, along with the usual trays of cookies, nuts, chocolate, chips, etc.
 
We do apetizers for Christmas every year! Having grazing food is the best.
Some of our favs are:
Bacon wrapped chicken bites
Jalapeno popper crescent cups
Sausage balls
Little wieners or smokies in a mustard/apple jelly sauce
Crab stuffed mushrooms
 
Happy to eat your appies; do not want to make any! LOL

I had the best savory macarons this past weekend at brunch. If I could make those, I'd bring those to any party. They were filled with a very creamy almond, squash, goat cheese and pepita mixture (crushed pepitas on top). So yummy...I will probably dream about them tonight.

I agree... add a little spicy mustard and any jam you like to change the flavoring. An edge up from just BBQ.

We just had the little Ritz ham and cheese apps... Here's a link. Super easy, and tasty. We used Everything Bagel Seasoning rather than poppy seeds.

Another fun dip that has a little kick is this Cranberry Jalepeno Dip! So yummy. It makes a showing at every holiday book club party and really good with most crackers.

Another simple one is an Upside Down Onion Tart. You can really change out the veggie and cheese to make it however way you want. We had Gruyere on hand and used that.

I am the worst at thinking of an appetizer to bring to parties. Lol. But this is great because I have a party on Friday and then another one next weekend that I need to bring something to.

What are your fave appies to make? None? Lol! It always seems last minute and I'm scrambling. But I usually bring a dessert. For Christmas parties, I love to bring mint brownies. You use a box of brownie mix and add only melted butter and a bit of peppermint extract, they sprinkled Andes mint chips on top and bake. They are super rich and delicious!

Any fast easy go-to ideas? I like cheese and crackers or a veggie tray when I'm in a hurry. Even better if there's a pre-made one at the grocery store!

Fave hot appie? I almost never bring hot food, because it's trickier to keep hot and travel with it.

Fave cold appie? My hubby's ham rollups (tortilla with a seasoned cream cheese spread and thin sliced ham on top, roll 'em up and then sliced little sections)

    • I don't really make the appetizers...if I do, I typically do Buffalo Chicken dip. I mostly bring sweet treats
