I'm just scrapping away, and I go to add a text box, and it is all wonky. There is a really tall cursor, then my text appears at the bottom of the cursor. I am sorry. All I do is just reset the tool when it starts acting up. Which you said it already won’t let you. Hope you figured it out
I restarted everything, and started trying the suggestions noted. Eventually the reset tool option was valid again, so I hit that a few times. At some point, I noticed the font size changed to 100. So I reset it a few more times. And it seems to be working now. So there's my 2cents on that. I'm not really sure what fixed it, but I'll take it! Thanks for pointing those thread out, @KimJ. I wasn't even really sure what I was asking for, and my searches weren't turning up anything!
If it happens again, open an old file that worked properly previously, or reset the characters. Sometimes it holds a funny setting and it gets stuck!
