Admittedly they aren't from here but even some ideas would help on ways to use them

Over the years I have collected a wide range of digital stamps/brushes but just never think to use them - they are quite themed & I bought them because of the themes but I'm at a total loss. I do wonder whether it's because they are hidden in the other & retired designers folder. Actually that's a thought, now that I'm not a Polly, keeping my folders divided by store isn't such a necessity....hmm, food for thought! There's so many hidden treasures in there in addition to those stamps, I should really explore more

Whoa, wait, you are not a Polly. I’m sorry to hear that but understand how life just gets in the way of our pursuits at times. I wish you well. ❤️

I agree - I have a lot of stamps (and styles for that matter) and it's hard to organize them in a way that keeps them top of mind! In Bridge, I keyword kit previews by theme and that might be a good way to also organize stamps although you still have to remind yourself to look for them when you are using an unrelated kit.

I do keyword or tag in ACDSee already. I think it's because I'm so used to either Polly or challenge scrapping, I just don't go looking for them

Exactly! I do try from time to time to step back from a page and think about what else I could use outside of a kit. Sometimes, it's inspired by looking at other peoples' pages - I'll see like an envelope or big word stamp, etc - and I'll go seek out something like it. I definitely need a little more of that thinking outside the box more often.

You are the organizing queen! ♥ I am lazy with brushes & stamps. As Michele above said, I make a layer above with color or paper and clip to the stamp.
Brushes, other than regular erase and blend, I really only use font ones, or cracks and such fun ones from Deviant Art or such.
I would keep them with the kits. Especially if they are themed.
and hugs as a former POLLY, I adored the gig. Scrapbooking is still fun; it is a JOY to fill pages that are printed. Keep being you, dear Jennifer.
Keep making pages for the ultimate JOY of scrapping, with or without stamps.

Oh, I know that! I'm just missing the freedom of time to scrap....one final assignment to finish for my micro-credential and I'm done

use the stamps blending into the background papers and create something new. I use the color burn blend mode and reduce the opacity which blends it in really well and creates great background work. The blend modes are fun to play with and you can create so many fun things with them. I love doing that with Rachel Jefferies & Lynn Grieveson's goodies.. the HMV and monthly mixed stuff is great for blending of the stamps into backgrounds... same for Joyce Paul, Just Jaimee and LBW stamp stuff.

You could start by using some stamps/brushes behind and off to the side of your photos/clusters. Like what you see in Rachel Jefferies and Lynn Grieveson‘s templates.

I also like to use stamps/brushes along the edges of paper to create borders or a distressed look.

The great thing about digital stamps and brushes is that you can adjust the size, position and even delete them easily. Just have fun playing around and getting a feel for it. After a while, you’ll get the hang of it, and it will become second nature. :agree

So that it isn't so overwhelming, when you come across a stamp you think you might want to use more regularly, copy it into a stamp folder...develop a mini folder for a couple to use, for easy access.

Try using stamps as page borders, accent a focal point on your page...resize and recolor them, clip a paper to them or use as a mask for a photo.

Another fun thing is to open up multiple brushes and merge them together before resizing, recoloring or clipping paper/image to.

@littlekiwi,

I’m going to miss you as a Polly, but of course I understand how real life sometimes gets in the way of our scrapbooking goals!

You’re so creative, I know you can figure out how to use those older digital stamps/brushes. Maybe do a mashup of a couple of themes or motifs?

Maybe start a page with one themed stamp, to inspire the rest of the page?

Also could be used to make a plain paper into patterned paper.
I did that recently when I created a layout for SOSN for a set of brushes/digital stamps. Then I just found other elements that worked rather than using a kit
