I got very enthusiastic about Halloween until Sarita was 15 or 16...when she stopped trick or treating and is now going out to grown up parties.... but this year I will have my carer, Nelma's kids, so when seeing the pages you all are making... got enthusiastic again and went looking for a couple of ideas.... and found this .
Shame I wont be able to eat it, but will sure be fun making it...it isn't as difficult as it looks, is a red velvet cake....!!!!!!
the recipe is at one of the blogs I 'm subscribed for food... if you want the recipe, just click on the image!!!

Oh, that reminds me: I got a brain Jello mold on clearance after Halloween last year. Can't wait to use it!

I like a popcorn mix. It's popcorn, Halloween color M&Ms, candy corn (well, I leave it out but it's supposed to be in there lol), pretzels, and drizzled caramel and/or chocolate. Yum! Sometimes we put chocolate-covered popcorn in it, too.

I have made a pasta dish called Bats & Cobwebs that the kids absolutely loved. It was also quick and easy to make. Basically, bow tie pasta (Bats), mozzarella chunks (Cobwebs), sauce, with or without sausages. It made a huge batch so the neighbor kids would sometimes stop by to eat before trick-or-treating. I'd even be roped into making it for school potlucks!

    It's a Martha Stewart recipe: https://www.marthastewart.com/341738/bats-and-cobwebs

I made a kitty litter cake one year for a party. It's pretty gross. Well the cake is actually good but it looks disgusting.

You can Google it to find a plethora of recipes.

I have also made little fingers like these that won me a contest at work...lol

I only make cute things but I do witches hats which is chocolate striped cookies (turned over so the chocolate bottom is up). PUt a ring of icing (the kind you squeeze) and then put a chocolate kiss on top of the icing. I usually use either green or orange icing.

EWWWWW! I hate cat litter boxes!! That's totally disgusting. But I'm sure if any kid came across this thread they'd think it was great. The more disgusting, the better!
