Army green! I forgot about that one! I wore an Army green jacket for my first maternity photos so that’s what Army green reminds me of.
I love lots of greens- Kelly Green (like my name!), blue-green, olive green, sage green, but I dislike avocado green like the appliances from the 70s. I am 3/4 Scotts/Irish (not sure exactly how much is Irish, but my maternal grandfather was an O'Hare) and 1/4 Italian (my maternal grandmother emigrated to the U.S. from Italy when she was 10.) I love St Paddy's Day although we don't ususally do much but occasionally will get a Rueben sandwich for some corned beef. I have always wanted to visit Chicago or Savannah for their St. Paddy's day parades and see their rivers dyed green.
When I think of green I think of Earth and Nature. Winter is very brown, grey, and slate blue. Come spring, pops of green emerge...then in summer it's full on GREEEN! So, I think of trees and grass the most when it comes to the color green. I don't have a favorite shade of green. I love so many - from the super bright and energetic neon green to deep, dark, luscious forest green. Last March little Maggie walked over the Rainbow Bridge - in honor of her and the color green, here is a pic that reminds me of summer greens.
I would love to see the rivers dyed green too! I grew up with an avocado green oven and linoleum lol Blech!
I like green for scrapping but don't have a lot of green in my wardrobe. When I buy green I stay away from the light/pastel green. Shades I like are: khaki, olive, jade, emerald, pine. I like the blue/green mixes.
GAH!!! My niece posted a photo of Chicago's green river yesterday that she'd taken from her office building on Instagram, unfortunately it was one of those reels that disappear after "x" amount of time. It was a cool photo.
I love green and hunter green is my favorite color. It is my husband’s favorite color too so we have to arm wrestle over who gets the green tokens when playing games like Sorry or Sequence!
I love! Green!!!...All shades of green!...I especially LOVE! St.Patty's Day!!!......It makes me believe that spring is just on the horizon!... I just posted this St.Patty's Day layout in my Lilypad Gallery!...Happy St.Patty's Day! Everyone!!!...
When you think of green what do you think of? Fresh, Spring What is your favorite shade of green? I'm not sure I have a favorite shade but definitely prefer the brighter clearer shades
green is my most favorite color! I absolutely love it, so the thought of green is honestly less a THING that I think of and more of a FEELING. It feels like a completion, or a refreshing cleansing... kind of like super green fields after a good rain. I always feel like a space or an artistic creation feels incomplete unless there's some element of green somewhere in it. It's like the perfect finishing touch... I dont know how to explain it. My favorite shade is very specific... again, it's like the color of summer leaves after a good rain... it's the rich, emerald/kelly green... probably the green most associated with pictures of Ireland.
Your love of green makes me smile. "The color of summer leaves after a good rain" is a great description!
