ce begged for silly bandz all school year- i refused. He finally got 2 from a friend the last few days of school, and then i let him buy a pack of fakies the other day @ the market.. And THEN my aunt (lol) gave him a pack cause she knows i hate them (hahaha)...
and what does he do?
after finally getting a zillion of them..
he wraps silly putty around them.
@_@ ....

I have no idea how to get these globs of silly putty off :p
 
i've always been able to get silly putty off things by putting in the freezer for a while - like 2 hours. just put it inside a baggy though so you don't have bits all over inside the freezer as they fall off. lol

don't feel alone - that's totally something my kids would do.
 
ty! I'll try that.. grr! children! lol.. i tried hot water- it wasn't a good plan haha

i can understand not knowing what silly bandz are- I didn't till a few months ago (I'm a mean mom and ignore my child when he asks for things haha).. but silly putty.. that's been around forever ;)
 
we probably have a similar thing in Australia going by a different name!
 
LMBO!!!!!!!!!!! He's a BOY! Totally sounds like something my boys would do! I agree with the freezer thing...although, not sure what that would do to the bands! I wonder if they'd break too. :dizzy
 
LOL!! Sounds perfectly normal to me La. Only it's my girl who gets herself into stuff like that, JT is just too much of a rule follower!
 
Oh gosh, my boys have hundreds of those stupid things! They love them...I don't get it but whatev...good luck getting the silly putty off them,yipes!
 
freezer trick didn't work... but- the silly bandz didn't break either so.. bonus? lol. I have a pile sitting here that are still wrapped in the crap. bleh.
 
That's so funny!! And so kid!!! Are silly bands those rubber bands in the shape of animals. I'm hating those. They just find their way all over the house. I wonder if Peanut Butter would work, like it works on gum?
 
I love silly putty!!! It was one of my favorite things when I was a kid. I have no idea what those bandz things are though La. Of course, this would've been something Patrick would've done though. LOL! Yeah...the freezer works great on silly putty. Good call Laura!
 
yeh they're the animal (and other things) shaped elasticy bracelet things..

i think that might be WHY the freezer didn't work.. cause it's a pretty similar feeling to the silly putty itself. bleh.
 
Heh, heh... boys will be boys. My boys each got their first bag of those silly bands this weekend as a reward to being super good in church on Sunday. They were in seventh heaven. I let my oldest wear his to Vacation Bible School yesterday and then to Baseball last night. He came home without a single bracelet left. He gave them all away. I guess it's good he was willing to share... but I thought they were for trading! :)
 
they're def weird :p though I wear a lot of bracelets.. just... not 50000 oddly shaped silly bandz hah.

In case anyone wanted an update :p LOL ce sat all evening last night and picked off every last bit of silly putty off of them. I think he learned his lesson as i refused to try any more :p
