Many people who do a Document Your December or December Daily album find it helpful to prepare foundation pages so they can work on albums more quickly throughout the month. Others prefer to scrap "in the moment" and work as they have time. There's no right way - just do whatever works best for you!

Check out these pages from the Pollys!

I am doing things soooo different than everyone else LMAO I think I am doing mine as a digital journal with filler pages of random thoughts or past holiday expeiences plus the actual daily pages. I'm trying to do my filler pages now. I want a huge thick book LOL I might pull and scan a few pages out of my personal art/daily journal for it too

Wow -- so many cool projects! I hadn't heard about DYD. Very neat! We are Jewish so we don't have the same Christmas focus, but I have a feeling I will do this once we have kids -- maybe an 8 days of Channukah mini-album?!?

Ok I'm gonna touch the cover tomorrow. *hold me*

I have a 5 year hoard of paper stuff, so I might try to use some of that.

I hear you. I really want to mist my cover. However, after my Great Mist Debacle of 2011 (which resulted in much of my studio being covered in red paint...not purposefully), I have a deep fear of non-digi mist. Yet, I am tempted...so tempted. LOL

foundation pages are like the pages done above, they're basically just the base of the page with a background paper and a number and then when you get to that day all you have to add is a picture or pictures and journaling... makes it quicker to have the foundation pages done ahead of time than to create a new page every day and feel like you're behind if you miss a day.

here's my first... and I ran out of ink so I need to head out to buy some more so I can finish LOL

So I've never done DYD before...I'm guessing that this is more of a hybrid project than a digital album thing?

Sarah, you can do it however you want... I did 100% digi two years ago and know lots of girls who do digi... I think the girls who do hybrid like to get started early and plan ahead since it takes longer to do

Document Your December is like a daily mini album of what you do in December, some only do the first 25 days as a countdown to Christmas and some start the day after Thansgiving and do a countdown to Christmas and some like myself do all 31 days of December, usually a picture from the day and some journaling, and maybe some extra pages for favorites and other things like that... Basically documenting how you spend your December :)
