Interview by AnneofAlamo Q: Tell us about your family, where you live and such I live in Brazil, São Paulo and I’m wife to my best friend Ricardo. We’ve been married for 18 years (our anniversary was February, 6th!!!) We have 2 girls- ages 21 (Isabella) and 16 (Gabriella). How did I start scrapping? I paper scrapped for years and years. I can't tell you how long because I can't remember the specific year but I started to be paper scrap at the same year that Orkut (it was a social network like Facebook that was popular in Brazil) was launched..I think it was 2004... Q: Who in your life has played a large part of your design career? My grand father who taught me to draw Q: Early in life, can you remember what you first created? What was it? Who helped you and what do you remember? I use to love to make draws and collages. My pre school teacher use to let me draw instead of studying! Q: You have a deadline, and are stuck, what do you do to jumpstart your creating process? I'm always late so I guess I think of a theme and surf the internet to get some ideas. Q: If you could sit down with any famous person in History and just talk about life, who would it be? Cleopatra! Q: You are hungry, you walk into the kitchen, what is the first thing you look for? Milk with sugar!!! Or chocolate...LOL Q: What age do you wish you could go back too even for a day?? 22!! Q: What is the most comfortable or favorite outfit/clothes that you have. My boyfriend jeans!!! Q: YOU get one wish, click your heels together and then tell us what it is! That I could have more two wishes! hahaha I'm joking - I think to go back in time and change all the messed up things I have done. Q: What is something funny or that you cherish you and your family do together! We use to play cards a lot and sometimes Ricardo wait for our distraction to change his cards...
I hope you liked my video because I almost died of shame to make it!! YES I know that you all will say that my desk is super clean and you were expecting to see more mess but I need to confess that I'm a clean FREAK! I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), so I cant' live with any mess sign!
Loved your video. It's good to hear your voice and connect it with the picture and name. These were tough questions. Made me think about how I would answer. Thank you Paula and Anne.
I loved your video! @paula kesselring why do you think you are OCD but can design such lovely grunge /messy style?! I love how messy your paints are
Thanks sweetie! I made a lot of psychotherapy to be less obsessive! Today I have only 2 compulsions: checking – such as checking doors are locked, or that the gas is off
I have been a fan of Paula's for a long time- and the video was great! (I totally get not being comfortable, that would be me too!)
I loved your video Paula!! Your dogs are so cute!! It was awesome to learn more about you! I love your accent!!
Loved the vid! I had a very different idea of you in my mind, but now that I've seen the vid, I don't even know what it was before! The fact that the dogs were like 'ugh, human, let me be' was hilarious to me. I don't really understand what this is actually... Normal milk with sugar stirred in? Or is it something you buy? It sounds not too appetizing to me tbh.
Yes, some people like to warm the milk but you can do it with cold milk. You just add a few tablespoons of sugar and stir it in. It's delish!!!!!!!!!
Really?!!!I think that is the Latin thing... I can't live without a glass of milk+sugar+Nesquik!!!! @berniek No it's not like USA that you can buy it ready to drink... I put the cold milk in a big glass+1 sugar spoon+2 Nesquik spoon and voilá!!
