So, funny story...

My husband is very supportive and engaged when it comes to my creative teams... I share with him my efforts and successes and failures when it comes to being a layout artist. He was SO good about helping out in January so I could scrap about every night and complete MOC. He also knows a dream of mine is to be a Polly.

That being said, we were driving home yesterday, and the conversation goes like this...
Me: I need to get into my office for awhile tonight to finish a layout.
Him: Okay. Oh, so any word on being a 'TADPOLE'??
Me: ........??
Him: ........
(it starts to dawn on me what he means... literally laughing out loud right now)
Me: You mean a POLLY? Ha! (then we proceeded to look up some stuff about frogs... cuz that's how we roll)

I'm sorry, but that was so hysterical to me... I hope ya'll find the humor in it, because I'm laughing again just thinking about it!

Hahahahah! I can so relate to this... since my hubby said the same thingafter a previous MOC! I don't think we proceeded to look up things about frogs, but I know I pry did cause curiosity! Scrap it!
 
That is funny! We raised some tadpoles one spring. Turns out they were tree frogs and the crickets we tried to feed them were bigger than them. We finally released them into the wild when they started disappearing (i.e. eating each other).
 
That is funny, my husband doesn't have a clue. I show him a layout and he mumbles something like....that's nice, but is it making us any money....Hmmmmmmmmmmmm no! But it's keeping me sane.

Aw Heidi, you must scrap that too.. there are some cute doodled frogs here by Kate etc., so you have to scrap.. my Hubby is very supportive as well. He was asking me last year about hearing when I was waiting with baited breath but he never called me a tadpole LOL.. I am giggling.. too too cute!! :giggle:frog:frog
 
Lol Yep! Totally understand! I have a similar husband & of course he can't keep track of all the things I do - I barely can! ;) All the time he mixes up store names or designers & I just giggle. At least they make an effort right!? :giggle
 
I so get this! I giggle that your hubby is remembering something so important to you! My hubby jokingly calls me the WOG. PollyWOG! I sit down to scrap and he makes it a verb, you gonna do some WOGGING? lol

long ago I was on the team at Scrapbook Graphics The Crew, and my hubby used to say it sounded like I was a gangsta! make me laugh, gangsta scrapper!
 
Too funny! I’m constantly telling my husband the difference between a CT layout and a challenge layout or just a layout just for me.
 
This is a hysterical story! I can totally relate because my hubby is very involved and super supportive of my scrapping. This is exactly like something he'd say. :giggle:giggle

Occasionally he calls me Old Scrapbook Lady :giggle
 
Haha that's hillarious!! And can I just say how cool it is that your man is interested in your hobby? That's awesome!
 
That is cute and honestly my hubby helps me scrapping. I was stuck on a layout last week and I just couldn't decide on a background paper. I put 2-3 on and then I had him help me on which one.

But I should have known he would be good since honestly he picks most of my work clothes for me. He has really good taste on what goes together and I trust his judgement.
 
That is funny!

I get "TLPing" around here. As in "Are you T-L-P-ing tonight?" or "Got any T-L-Ping to do?". I know google is a verb, but who knew TLP would be too :giggle

I think my husband would be able to name my favorite digiscrapping site (TLP) and describe digiscrapping and how I participate in the forum and do special events and challenges, but not in detail. He supports me but doesn't have much interest in it. It's okay. I don't have much interest in his tabletop war-games or Pathfinder. It's great to have some individual interests.
