I also know peeps with these names: Mary Christina Starr Noelle Candy Cane Darling Daisy and a friend of my sister's actually named her twins Napolean and LaFawnda! Can you believe that? Oh, and I have an ancestor with the name of Patience Haste! LMAO
forgot about a former classmate...her name was rhonda screws. some were very cruel to her in high school.
I used to work with someone named Bambi. To put it as nicely as I can, she didn't fit her name at all. She'd actually introduce herself as "Bambi, you know like the deer?" Seriously, like any of us didn't know about the deer, LOL.
Working in admissions a few years back for our local school district, and this is the God's honest truth.....we had a child named *** Shi'thead *** It's pronounced shi' THEAD. And we heard there's another child with that name in the school system next to ours but its a different child. Now, who in their right mind would spell a child's name like that?!?!?! I think their parents are on crack or something. Poor kids!!!!
oh these poor poor kids. I know a guy that named his son "Sir". He thought he was so smart for coming up with it. Kind of weird but ok.
My friend worked at a grocery store and her managers were Mr. Ball and Mr. Dick. I knew a girl whose last name was Wood. Her name Holly. Holly Wood. My Dad read a newspaper article when I was a kid about Ima and Ura Hogg. I have no idea if that is true.
I used to know a policeman called John Dick (therefore PC Dick). He was a man of strong character and thankfully a great sense of humour
There really was an Ima Hogg - from Texas - those from Houston will know all about her because she came from a very important Texan family ... there was no Ura Hogg, though, I guess that part was just a joke that started somewhere ... here's a Wiki article about her http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ima_Hogg
My step sister works in the local school district here as a school psychologist and she said she just got a new case last week. The child's first and middle names were: Tsal Chapter (That's "LAST" spelled backward.) She said they pronounce it like "Tesla" - but clearly - that's not how it's spelled. Poor kid!
oh gosh! names! when we named Sebastian, even my own mother said, "Are you SURE that's what you want to name him?" LOL!! and for almost a YEAR, every time we saw our neighbors, they would ask, "Are you still calling that baby Sebastian? Why don't you call him David, or something more normal?" I guess I was clear on how she felt about it. I will say, he has totally grown into the name, and I can't imagine him as anything else. I have a friend who's children are: Dawson (like Dawson's Creek) McKinley Dylan (okay, I know that one's pretty normal.... actually, so far, not so bad I guess) Diesel Denim Yes, really... Diesel and Denim! Poor poor children! This same friend suggested I name one of my children Hurricane.... Hurricane.... i'm just not feelin' it! We passed on the suggestion!
do any of you read cjane? she just had her baby girl and named her Ever. i think it's kind of cute. but then she also calls her baby boy chief and her husband chup. LOL but she is one good writer.
