I know I have a piece of word art that says, "You've GOT this!" But can I find it in my collection of over 5,000 pieces of wordart? NO! I've even tried finding it the Finder (iMac). This is always my problem with wordart. I love it, but it gets lost in Bridge or in the Finder. It is faster for me to make my own. Anyone else experience this, or have a solution? I guess I could make new categories for tagging. sigh. THAT sounds like a lot of work too.
That is such a bummer! Can you think who made it? That could narrow down your search. I've started re-naming WA if it doesn't include the main word(s). That way I can search for it in the Windows search function. Plus I tag preview images with key terms. For example, a kit or WA pack with "you got this!" would probably be tagged "inspiration." So my help is more of a change in organization, which isn't exactly an easy thing to implement. Good luck finding it! Oh! Have you tried searching the store? I found a WA tag in this ProjectMouseRun pack https://the-lilypad.com/store/Project-Mouse-Run-Word-Bits.html
I found this in the store, but I KNOW I have it in my files. SO frustrating. https://the-lilypad.com/store/High-Five-Digital-Scrapbook-Kit-by-paislee-press.html
Some smart scrapper - I can't remember who! - told me she renames word art when she opens the kit. It takes about 5 minutes, but then she can always find it later! Me? I'm in your boat. I search wa and then hope I see what I want!
Thanks gals. While you all were responding, I just made my own! On my to-do list: organizing wordart. (OH! Remember the artist????? I can't remember what day of the week it is! LOL)
@SharLamb There are several. A few I noted that have "You Got This" WA are: https://the-lilypad.com/store/New-Things-Digital-Kit-Storyteller-January-2018-Add-on.html https://the-lilypad.com/store/Storyteller-2017-May-Digital-Scrapbook-Kit.html https://the-lilypad.com/store/Storyteller-2017-January-Word-Art-Bits.html https://the-lilypad.com/store/Don-t-Stop-Mini-Theme-Kit-Bundle-Storyteller-January-2019-Add-on.html There are others that have variations on this.
I always struggle to find wordart, which is why I rarely use it. If the kits I'm using have something suitable I use that, otherwise I create my own from fonts and or alphas.
@SharLamb November M3 had this.. https://the-lilypad.com/store/Word-Art-Add-On-M3-November-2018.html https://the-lilypad.com/store/Journal-Cards-Add-On-M3-November-2018.html https://the-lilypad.com/store/M3-Nov-18-Mixed-Media-Artistry.html Also this one: https://the-lilypad.com/store/Of-Wishes-Hopes-and-Dreams-Wordart-paislee-press.html
I always do a search, Courtney. I couldn't function without that. I think I'll get that High Five kit though - I really like it now that I take the time to look at it again. I was just laughing at myself recently and wondering if I'm the only one who buys a kit for one or two things it has in it?
That stinks! I hate when I know I have something, but can't find it. I'm not much help with word art though. I normally scrap my page, then look at the ellie packs I used on the page and see if any work for the page. If none of them work well for the page, that's when I just go with alphas and make my own.
@Cherylndesigns substitute "book or anything writing-related" for Courtney's camera and that's me. So you're in good company.
