**CLOSED**

Welcome to DOCUMENT YOUR DECEMBER here at The Lilypad! I've got a challenge for you that I think you'll like and I'm going to give you some ideas on how to play along with the challenge which is to create DIY FRAMES/CLUSTERS to use in a holiday, winter or Christmas layout. Here is a great tutorial on how to create frames

There are two steps to this challenge:

  • CREATE A FRAME from scratch or use a frame product from the TLP store but alter it in some way to personalize it i.e. use stamps or overlays on it or possibly resizing or recoloring. Anything is ok as long as you alter it to put your own personal touch to it.
  • CREATE A CLUSTER that affixes to your frame in some way i.e. on or under the frame, alongside it but at least a bit of the cluster is touching your frame.
Then you'll add your frame and cluster to a holiday, winter or Christmas layout created for this challenge.
Here is my layout:

You can receive Bonus Entries if you show us some frames you’ve made with clusters. Make a few clustered frames to switch out as you work on your DYD this year…upload them here in this thread. For each clustered frame you upload, you get a bonus entry for the drawing at the end of DYD.
I created a frame PSD that I saved with 4 basic shaped frames. I clipped papers and used some styles to alter them somewhat. I then created a cluster PSD and made two clusters that I switched out with the different frames.
Here are my examples I used DYD products from Gina Miller Holly and Pine, Dunia Merry 2023 and from Mommyish Holographic Styles, and Jelly Styles and from Paula Kesselring CU Wooden Styles #1

I also turned a Journal Card from ninigoesdigi December Days 2023 into a Frame and a Template from designed by Soco December Memories 2023 into a frame. I have these saved as PSD’s for easy access while I’m Documenting my December this month! These are just ideas to spark your creativity, so use some or none, as you like.

Please remember the following when creating your layout:
1. Layouts must contain a minimum of 50% TLP products to comply with our gallery standards. Any templates used count for a total of 15%.

2. You must post your layout in the TLP gallery and then post in this thread with a link to the gallery image of your page.

This challenge closes on Monday, November 13 at 11:59pm EST. A random entry will win a $3 coupon to The Lilypad store.

Bonus Entries if you show us some frames you’ve made with clusters.

I made my frame clusters using Weathered Wood II styles by Mommyish and Joulukuu Kit by Lynn Grieveson.
These are so pretty Erin! They will be so handy and useful as you DYD!

I love all your examples Kimberly! Especially the frame you made from the pocket card! Here's a page from me. I used a frame from Lynn Grieveson's new Yuletide Kit and made it my own by clipping Kim Jensen's Merriment plaid paper to it and adding a bevel. Then I added a cluster of thread and foliage in front of the frame and a cluster of flower and foliage behind the frame.

Made my foundation pages so that I will only use shadowed photos with a white stroke, and then I'll add some toppers to keep the photos in place, so to speak. Here are a couple of toppers I've prepared:
