Happy February everyone! A couple years ago, instead of the random challenge, we used to host "formula" challenges. Anyone remember those?! I thought we'd go back to those times and offer another formula challenge. I will give you a formula that you need to use to make your LO. Your LO must contain everything in the formula. It can also include more, but never less than the formula! So, in honor of the best holiday in February I am choosing the word VALENTINE as a formula. So the rules are as follows: for each letter in the word VALENTINE you must have an item on your page that starts with that letter. I included some examples below. You are not limited to the following suggestions, so if you can think of something for a letter that I have listed please feel free to use it! And another thing to note - there is 2 of the same letter (N & E), which means you have to have 2 items that start with that letter - not one to cover both! Let me know if you have any questions! V - velum, veneer, violet, vintage A - alpha, acrylic, acetate, arrow L - leaves, label, lace E - epoxy, ephemera, enamel N - number, navy, note T - tape, tag, tulle, ticket I - ink, index card, ice, ivy N - notecard, nature, new item E - envelope, epoxy, ephemera My Example Page: Challenge Rules: The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete all 7 challenges by midnight eastern time on February 28, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win one of TWO guest spots on the Lilypad Creative Team! The first six challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the seventh challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Please remember that layouts must contain 75% TLP product (eligible product can be current or retired product from resident designers, or guest designer product that is currently in the TLP store. BYOC challenge layouts must have 90% current BYOC product from this month's BYOC. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). All challenge layouts should be posted in the TLP gallery listing the product used for your pages. Your challenge pages each month will be tracked in the Challenge Layouts thread. There should only be one post per participant in this thread. After you post your first challenge, please edit that post to add each additional challenge page you complete. At the end of the month, this thread will be closed and you will be contacted with a coupon code for your discount. Only one post per person will be tallied, so please do not post multiple times in this thread. In order to make tallying easier, we also ask that this thread be used only for posting challenge pages; please do not comment on the pages in the layout thread, but feel free to go to the gallery to leave some love! New for 2015: Throughout the month, as I see people finishing the challenges, I will move your post to a "Finished Challenges" thread so I can tally the finishers throughout the entire month instead of just at the end. This will hopefully enable us to get the coupons to you all sooner! Coupons are sent via PM within approximately one week after the challenges close.
For each letter you need one item! Does that make sense, so for the first "N" you need something that starts with a N and then the for second "N" you need another item that starts with an N.
So they could both be notecards as long as there are two, yes? Also it says December instead of February for the deadline.
It looks like colors count too like L could by lavender. I'm guessing having "BE MY VALENTINE" on there wouldn't count!!!
oh i love this challenge! I host this kind of challenge when i was moderator on a forum of scrap in France!!!
