I started with the inspiration of that rich colour, and gold combo, I had a photo in mind straight away with wheat and irises, but had to overlay the original paper with another one, to make it more to my liking.
I was inspired by gradient and white outlined leaves. Used Bella Gypsy's Twinkle paper which is so beautiful just love the gradients and used (again) SWL Frosty Leaves template for those leaves.
I love that this challenge is inspired by a tissue box! I did the gradient on my pink paper and added feathers.
Upon Looking At The Tissue Box For A Short While...It Struck Me As Vintage...I Saw Vintage Sepia Shades & The Contrast Of The Light & Dark Together...So I Took The Photo In Question & Turned It Into A Sepia Image With Some Contrast In Color Shades & I Popped The Little Boy So He Stood Out More Against the Vintage But Subtly & I Then Used The Selective Color To Highlight The Cropped Blue Jeans & Just A Peek Of The White Shirt As A Direct Contrast To The Sepia Left Everywhere Else...I Also Used Contrasting Shapes Within The Layout:Triangles,Rectangles & Circles... *For My A Vintage Classic Layout-I Used: *Eucalyptus-Rachel Jefferies *Autumn Trails & Feeling Blue-Pink Reptile Designs *A New Me-Bundle-Little Butterfly Wings *Explore-Elements *M3-Lynne-Marie *Creekside-Lynn Grieveson *Take A Hike-Love It Scrap It(1) *Back 2 Nature-CathyK Designs(1) *Let's Go Camping-Clipick(2)
OoOOOOooo! I was inspired by the color, the gradient, and the reflection. I decided i wanted to capture the look of the light leaves on the dark bg.
As soon as I saw the inspiration photo I thought of this paper. Once I opened the folder I saw the solid black leaves and thought that would be a good way to mix - use the leaf stripes on the background and the solid color for the leaves. If I wasn't still a little tapped out from MOC I probably would have tried to learn how to actually use Gimp's gradient tool ... but that's for another time. At any rate, I think this one holds a record for quickest layout. Once I started it all just fell into place - and boy doesn't it help to only use one kit?
I love this color. The leaves reminded me of fall. Feb2019-Inspiration by AnnaB posted Feb 6, 2019 at 8:44 PM
What a fun challenge. I was inspired by the gradient and the graphic elements cascading down the page on a dark background.
