Hi Everyone! I bet you have read each and every challenge already for this month, or you are working through them now. Especially since they are all available the first of the month rather than one a day last month! I'm hosting the February Inspiration Challenge, and what inspired me was a bit silly! I saw this pattern on my tissue box. Yes, a tissue box! I know that sounds super odd, right? It's a gradient from light to dark in the coloring, and the white leaves on the dark gradient really pops out. So silly, but it struck me how cool this might look on a page! Here check it out! I would like you to be inspired by this everyday tissue box like I was. Color, design, gradient, or whatever else might inspire you! goes to show you that inspiration can come from everyday items and the regular day to day lives we all lead! Here is my page! As always, please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the February Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
OOOH fun, I'll be back here. The look of falling leaves was my inspiration and the background paper I chose reminds me of some kleenex boxes I've seen.
What a fun idea! I loved the falling leaves, which inspired my feathers. Thanks for the challenge, Jenn!
The pretty tissue box reminded me of my daughter's pretty maroon colored ballet costume that I had yet to scrap! I was also inspired by the pretty feather pattern, so I decided to use Forever Joy's new mini kit with feathers & place feathers instead of leaves on my page!
I immediately knew what inspired me: The gradient and the leaves which reminded me of a pic I took Fall '18 on the Blueridge Parkway. Colors ALWAYS get me!
The tissue looked like a mountain to me so I scrapped about one in my local region. I also took inspo from the Ombre effect on the box, so emulated that in the background and was inspired by the foliage and how that represented nature. @jk703 Thank you Jenn for such a fun challenge, inspiration truly is everywhere!
I LOVE using gradients but just never seem to use them unless the kit I'm using has a paper choice. This one doesn't. I used my tool in Artisan to create a diagnol gradient of the background and then added a sparkle to it (very subtle)
