Whew! Can you believe how fast January and MOC has flown by!? It's February and guess what, it's time to scrap! We are going to re-visit MOC! No groaning, you get to be inspired by what you LOVED about MOC! For this month's Inspiration Challenge, I would like you to be inspired by two of the MOC6 Challenges! Don't fret, you do not have to follow all the rules and guidelines of each challenge, but take the parts you like best from two of the challenges and combine them into one layout. I decided to play along again with my Geometrical Mosaics Technique Challenge, and the Clean and Simple Style Challenge! My layout has a little over a quarter of the paper as a mosaic, and leans to the clean and simple style. The Clean and Simple said no paint, lol... but I couldn't resist for this challenge. Remember, combine your favorite parts of each challenge. Here is the handy dandy Daily MOC Challenge List that Anne created to keep us nice and organized! Get pickin'! I'm so excited to see what you create this month! Wooo Hooo! The Regular Monthly Challenge Rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the February Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
Cool challenge Jenn! I'm defenitely gonna use the mosaic challenge again so now I just have to decide what to combine it with!
It’s going to be fun revisiting CHANGE YOUR VIEW MOC Photography Challenge & CREATIVITY WITH ALPHAS MOC Random Challenge.
@jk703 Is it wrong that I want to mix Anne's challenge of having tons of photos but keeping the elements in line with clean and simple, since I got all excited and posted a page the other day with mosaic AND a filled page!
Whichever two you'd like to mix is up to you! Pick the best parts of each challenge and run with it! No scissors though!
I already ran with scissors today! IDK if this will really work, if not I have other things in mind, just let me know 20+ photos and 5 elements (MOC title I used a piece of ephemera since it's a jpeg, frog, flower, lily pad and scribble)
Be careful with those scissors. My mom always told me I'd poke someone's eye out! I think it's great! You took what you liked from each challenge and combined! 20+ and C&S! Hahahaha - I love the GOOOOOOOO Froggies!
I like living on the edge of safety and danger the scissors were at least point down! I was trying to chase my kitty to get a small matte he suddenly developed what seems like overnight from wrestling with our other kitty!
I chose 1/10/18 - Clean & Simple -I picked 1 photo, 1 neutral background and 3-5 elements I also chose 1/4/18 - Photography - Point of View -I picked Worms eye view (below the subject) Credits: SGleason - Albus - WHITE background paper APennington - MIGHTY - Black paper to mat photo Mommyish - So Basic - Staple in upper right corner of photo D.Inskip - Dreams & Goals - Wordstrip TLP Collab - MGM - Staple in lower left corner of photo Took this photo at Navy Pier in Chicago while we were celebrating and taking a break from unpacking Shelby into her new apt. I took this from the ground as the group passed by overhead....you can see Shelby in the car...
Inspired by these two MOC challenges: Day 27 (six designers) and Day 15 (Filled Layout Style Challenge)
I combined inspiration from the Geometrical Mosaics Technique (Jan 22) and Creativity with Alphas (Jan 29) challenges.
Poo! My February Random challenge could have worked in this one since I incorporated 4 of the MOC challenges into 1!! HAHAHHA! Okay! Now to reign it in & just incorporate 2 for you Jenn!
I picked January 15: Filled Layout (Style Challenge) host: JillW & January 4: Change Your View (Photography Challenge) host: bcnatty
this was fun. I went with the Filled Layout challenge (15) and the 6 designers challenge (27). I used to look at the Fiddle-Dee-Dee templates and go eek! Since MOC I've discovered I actually really like them after all.
I chose January 5 - People-less Photo (Photo Challenge) and January 12 - Throwback Photo (Photo Challenge). Photo doubled for both and I added the story.
For the Inspiration Challenge. I chose to combine the All in a row technique challenge and the Geometrical Mosaic Challenge.
