I asked Danyale a few questions to help get to know her more:​

Family makeup/pets? We are officially "empty nesters" and grand-parents! We have 3 children - 2 boys (33 - sous chef and 26 - electrical engineer) and our daughter is finishing her pre med to be an Endodontist. We don't have any pets anymore due to our living location but I am a TNR' volunteer, so I get my fair share of kitty snuggles.

Please tell the people where you live, and how did that opportunity come about? We currently live on the island of Sicily off the coast of Italy. It has been an amazing 1 1/2 yr, lots of travel and the Mediterranean is gorgeous. My husband is a DOD Civilian Fire Chief, so a promotion opportunity gave us the chance to get out of our beach chair in Florida and sit along the shores of the Med. It has been a life altering experience.

Is designing your full time job? Past career(s)? It is really become more of a part time job as I have started taking a lot of time off this past year due to our living location, travel opportunities, and simply internet logistics of living on an island. I am a retired EMT, 911 operator and trauma nurse. Being part of the memory keeping community is definitely a much more creative space for my emotions and mentality to be in ♥

Top 5 favorites of the moment?
1. Living in a place that has beaches 30 minutes away even though we live on the side of an active volcano. Having the warm water to enjoy most of the year, but also snow in the Winter has been the coolest thing for a Florida lady.
2. I am in love with all things Netherlands. I would move there and live today. We travel in and out of Amsterdam frequently and I am just a huge fan of everything.
3. I have been embracing not having a set style of memory keeping for years. I feel like the industry is now supporting that so much more than previously. I still keep the oversize album of a 12x12 or many journal style note boooks, but what is on the inside or each page is depending on what memory I am trying to keep. I love that the community is slowly forming a single mind set - no more separation of creatives... paper - digi - etc
4. After tasting one during our 1st trip to Paris, I am loving what they call a St Guermaine Spritz. You just mix up Champagne, St Guermaine (a liqueur), mint leaves and a squeeze and slice of lime. Some places in the EU call it a Hugo - YUMMY!
5. I adore this randomly found hand cream by L'Occitane - Amande (almond). It is french from Provence, smells amazing, and my hands/arms feel like butter....Le sigh

Tell us one thing on your bucket list. We have talked for years about going to the Maldives or Bora Bora for years. We are finally headed there for our 25th anniversary in 2021!

Any hidden talents? I am simultaneously learning Italian, Sicilian, Dutch and German - can that be a talent? I feel like I know more than I actually do. I certainly understand more then I can reply - which makes no sense.
