We call it dinner unless we plan on having a late and large lunch…then it’s linner. Don gets to work early as is typically home by 3:30. So, dinner is often in the 4 - 5 range. We eat all sorts of meals. Pizza. Chicken every which way - baked, bbq, legs, wings, chicken adobo, chicken noodle soup, pot pie. There is usually a rice-a-roni thrown into the weekly meals - with a fresh veggie and salmon cooked in with rice. Every other week we do a soft taco. Spaghetti makes its way in as does fettuccine. It’s nice to have a steak with a baked sweet potato and carrot. A quick meal is often a salad with cut up chicken strips.
Firstly what do you call it? Dinner, Main Meal, Supper or something else? We call it dinner. When do you typically have it? We usually eat around 6:30-7 pm. What sort of things do you eat at your evening meal? We eat a lot of beef/chicken/pork and sometimes salmon or tuna. I am keto so don't eat starches but hubs will have rice, pasta or potato while I will eat a salad or coleslaw and a veggie. I like to bake chicken with veggies, spritzed with oil, parmesan spice, garlic and onion powder. I also like ground meat heavily spiced with taco seasonings, hubs will eat burritos with his meat and I have mine over cauliflower rice/greens/cheese/sour cream and salsa, sometimes guacamole.
Dinner. Usually between 5:30-6:30 We eat a variety of things. I meal plan every week. I like to try new recipes often. Usually a protein, veggie, and starch. This week's meals include: Tortellini & Bean Soup Baked Chicken, Rice, and Roasted Veggies Crockpot Veggie Lasagna Creamy Chicken and Peas with Egg Noodles Spaghetti Stew in the Crockpot
We call our evening meal 'tea' What we have varies from week to week, this weeks plan is fish and veg, chicken enchiladas, and carbonara pasta. I have recently joined the gym so we are trying to eat healthier and eat more vegetables and fish.
