Quick question today. Do you prefer to be the driver or passenger?

We took a looooong drive today and I was the driver for the majority of the time. The only thing I like about being the driver is being in control of the music.

I used to enjoy being the passenger but more and more I find that I am the driver. My hubs has no patience so it is more relaxing when I drive.

I’m glad you’re able to relax when you drive. I stress too much (depending on the traffic).

In general, I prefer to be the driver. Like Rae, I'm much more patient than DH. I don't like driving at night, but I feel like DH doesn't see as well as he should at night anymore, so I just prefer neither of us drive then. :lol

I’m with you and avoid night driving Kim. I don’t trust my eyes in the dark.

Since I'm usually going places by myself I really have no choice!

But I do like to drive and don't mind it... just not at night anymore.

I like the freedom of having a car and being able to drive... but don't really enjoy it so if you want to drive - be my guest. I prefer driving in the city where there's something to do - traffic lights, pedestrians, etc - to driving on a highway where it gets rather monotonous... Hubby is the complete opposite so when it comes to driving there's perfect harmony in our family.

Considering I don’t have a drivers license and never will, I’m Team Passenger all the way.

When I am with hubby, I am Passenger Princess all the way.
When it's me and the kids (even though they're all grown and can drive) I want to be in control.

The entire world prefer that I'm the passenger, since I don't have a license.

This is me exactly. I love to ride... but quite often it's not worth it when my hubby throw tantrums over nothing. I can't tell you how many times I've said to him "You know they can't hear you, right?!?!?"

I'm the driver, always, and for lots of reasons lol
I am a control freak to the core and get anxious when DH drives. I am also a much more relaxed driver than he is.
I get a little bored being a passenger. I have a hard time not watching the road (again, control freak), so I can't really read or do anything else.
If we are on a trip or long drive, being the driver keeps me occupied, so it always feels like time goes by faster.

Definitely passenger! There is nothing that makes me sleepier than getting in the car for a road trip. My husband likes to do all the driving on trips so it works great for us. He drives and I sleep!

This is me exactly! I'd much rather be the driver in part because I'm a control freak and in part because I think DH is a maniac. :D

I am happy to let others do the driving, but I don't often have that option. The vast majority of the times I'm in a vehicle, I'm driving myself. Fortunately, I don't mind driving.

What I really wish for is to live in a highly walkable place with good public transportation. I would love to rarely need to drive.

Either or for me. If it's a long trip, hubs and I tend to split time driving. I think I feel all the impatient drivers and get more and more anxiety when driving these days. People are such stupid a-holes anymore. So, when I can, I am perfectly okay with being the passenger and not having heart palpitations from people driving way to close or recklessly. There are times when driving in a city or rush hour traffic that my heart rate goes up as if I'm exercising (seriously, I wear an Apple Watch).

The older I get the more I like being the driver. I seem to be getting to be a more anxious passenger. I think after teaching 3 teens to drive I'm just ready to be in control. LOL! I have 4 more kids to go.

Although my hubby does drive most of the time when we are together....but I have to bite my tongue all of the time.
