I am going to try and do a page a day about our December...I did one many years ago, and it was fun. Just yesterday, my kids pulled out all the Christmas books, and they all liked the one with more journaling and such...Anyone else planning it?
I was pondering using Jaimee's templates and pop a few big pages next to them?

What you thinking about doing...?? one more day of November left!?!?!:dizzy

I'm doing the holiday season and using a combination of pocket scrapping and Jaime's DYD album

and may toss in some of Sara's Pear Tree in 6x8

I'm not going to focus on the daily so much as the stories

I'm doing my own version of DD/DYD this year. I have attempted and failed at this the past couple of years, so I made some modifications. I'm hoping this year is more successful! I just did a blog post with my plan. You can find it here.

Love your post, and your plan!

I'm unofficially working on getting last year's stories told, and intentionally taking pictures of this year. I'm not calling it a project, specifically to avoid the feelings of underachievement when I fall behind. :)

Tracie yours sounds similar to my plan. We can do this. I need to get a special notebook to put stories or notes in.

I have a notebook right here by my puter, and I am gonna keep a daily diary. along with a thumb nail of Jaimee's way cool qp template pack for PL the last 4 weeks. I think it is major motivation!

oh I missed those templates by Sara!!! I could use those to butt up next to Jaimee's ! I love it Carilyne

We can do this!! I need to get a notebook too, because as much as it's my plan to keep up with this throughout the season, I can already feel things spiraling out of control. A notebook would be nice to keep myself up to date on journaling, even if I won't get to the actual pages until later. Much like the travel journal I did this summer, I'm trying to make this project more personal with more stories (journaling has never been easy for me). My PL pages will have more photos and have more "generic" journaling. Another way to make those two projects different for me.

I'm not going to do a daily project, but you better believe I'll be capturing the season! I LOVE those new templates of Jaimee's!

I just got the templates and am gonna do a draft print of the first week, and plan accordingly!? Anyone out there wanna join in?

Might I suggest adding journaling to Evernote? One thing I've hated as I typed up my notes for my WITL project is that I've had to retype it. I wrote it in my notebook, then had to type it all again. I could have just typed it all in the first place! Lol.

i'm dumb phone, and love to write...lol I had a smart phone for like 4 months and sold it...
I am a desktop pc gal! lol and have kept a written diary now for 30 plus years...old dog I be

I am sticking with just documenting through my PL. I have tried DD several years and have failed miserably each time.

I totally get the writing part. I like listing things. Evernote is perfect for this, but I still do it in one of my three notebooks. Haha.

But as an aside.... Evernote is for desktop, too. But sort of loses the point of it, if you're not accessing in multiple locations. Lol!

Good idea Kristina -- even a Word document or something. Hmm have to think about that one.

I'm going to try. I try every year and fail. But I've stopped beating myself up about it. At least this year I didn't go out and buy a whole album and physical scrap products to then fail... so there's that. :giggle I think I'm going to try to start the pages now (using some of those templates), so I don't stress out about it later. I don't know.

I'm trying to do advent activities this year, and Jessica will be doing Elf on the Shelf for Kennedy starting next week, so I should have plenty of material to work with. We'll see.

Me too!! But that's because I still have the unused pile of stuff I bought for this project last year! :whistle

The spine on the album I bought for last year doesn't match the colors I'm using this year, but I'm forcing myself to use it, for now. If I keep up with my project, I'll reward myself with a new album. :giggle

I'm another in the "tried and failed" club. Yet I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Christmas season, so I am trying it yet again! Even though I'm still working on 2013's, and have barely touched 2014's. Oh well!! Who doesn't love a bit of a challenge?! :heartslub
