Some send a newsletter to family/friends with a yearly recap of the year.
Some post online their top 5 or 10 best or fave photos of the year (I see a lot of wildlife yearly faves).
Some scrap a page about the best and worst of the year.

Do you do any of these? Or any other kind of "recap" for 2025?

I've never sent out a family newsletter but one of my hubby's aunts used to years ago and it bugged all the family members b/c it seemed like they were just bragging about their family accomplishments.

I see a lot of wildlife top 5 for 2025 and don't think I could do it b/c it would mean culling thru thousands of photos so seems like way too much work. What I might do this year is start tagging my faves and that would make it much easier to pick faves at the end of the year. Definitely something to think about doing.

No plans to scrap my best or worst of 2025 but not going to say I won't b/c I could change my mind at any time (and that happens often).

I don't make year recap. The only recap I made is the top 5 of songs I've heard all the year on Spotify. But I didn't save it, so I can't share it with you.

I loved doing a yearly newsletter. But as our children have grown up, their stories aren't mine to share. So that makes it a challenge. Sharing what is two oldies have gotten up to, feels boring. I have become a granny. Such a highlight to me for 2025. But no photos being shared. None being sent to me, none in social media. So nothing that makes my scrapbooking heart happy.

I feel the same way...us 2 oldies have nothing exciting to share so a newletter would definitely be short and boring if I did one.

Sometimes I used to do a year in review type of page when my boys were younger, but now I don't have as many pictures of them so I don't do that very often anymore. I do always create a year in review of the books I've read each year though and I love flipping through those layouts!

I sent a newsletter to family/friends this year. Hopefully they didn't hate it! I love the one my friend sends me every year with her Christmas card so I started doing my own.
