Just out of curiosity, how much do sample pages influence you to buy a product? For example, before you make a purchase do you look at the sample pages that are posted with the product and/or go into the gallery to to see how it's been used?

If it's a theme I like but am not sure the preview gives me enough of an idea of what is in it, I always look at the images. Also, looking at images will often give me another creative idea on how to use a kit other than what it's "themed" for. I totally have purchased and decided on kits based on pages I've seen as examples!!

I 100% will look at the sample pages posted with the product before making a purchase. I know not every designer includes sample pages and sometimes if I'm on the fence about whether the product is right for me, I will abandon the purchase if I don't see samples (I'm usually too lazy to go to the gallery to search them out). Other times, I decide to buy a product based on a page I've seen in the gallery, so it's always nice when products are linked.

I said "Nah..." because most of the time I don't look at them but occasionally I do look at the sample pages if the preview doesn't show enough or I want to get more of a feel for the kit. So I still think sample pages are a good idea.

Yes, example layouts always sway me in my purchases. Of course, a good preview is a fabulous start, but seeing how the products are used makes me start thinking about my own photos and maybe types of layouts that are missing in my own albums.

It's a great way to get inspired!

Absolutely agree the preview makes a difference!! There have been times where I didn't realize how great a product was from the preview, but then saw the samples pages and was wowed!

I always go to the store after I see a kit in a newsletter to see if there bare page samples. I 100% want to see samples

I like to look at the sample pages because often not all products are shown in the preview or are difficult to see so samples pages help showcase what is in the kit.

I will preface this by saying I am not usually influenced by other layouts but rather product previews. On the odd time I am influenced by a layout, it’s usually because I’ve spotted it in the gallery rather than in the store listing if that makes sense.

They definitely influence me. I get a better idea of what's in the kit than I do with the crowded preview images, and I often get ideas about how to use a kit from the samples. I'm also too lazy to go seek out samples in the gallery, so if they're not in the store I'm less likely to see them. (Samples in the newsletters are so small that they don't have the same impact that they do in the store.) I'll still buy a kit I love without the samples, but if I'm on the fence they make a difference.

Very much so!! There have been so many pages I have seen made with kits and I wasn't even aware that certain things were in that kit because of how kit preview pieces are so smooshed.

Product preview but BIG preview!! I pass by a kit often and then see it enlarged during a Pick Your Prize and go "Oh wow I like that kit!"

I voted 'yes' because I like to see how others have used the kit. Also, it shows me the things included in the kit that I might have not seen in the preview.

I always look at them. I like to see how versatile the kit/product is, how the templates can be used... And as I´m rarely using premade pieces, quite often I especially focus on some element/brush/painstroke/stitches I like on preview but I´m not sure if the thing I´m interested in is there separately or if it´s just merged with something - in a cluster, or the picture/stamp/brush is just on paper, stitches coming with a piece of paper only etc.
