Do nothing day? PP 4.5

That sounds like a good idea to me! Everyone needs time to recover and just relax.
Last week was spring break here so I plan on doing nothing while DS is at preschool today. :)

I LOVE do nothing days... except that usually means that the kids get to do nothing while I either scrap or paint or crochet or watch netflix all day. :)

My hubby is the social butterfly that never wants to stay home and I'm the hermit who always wants to stay home because I always have a project that I wish to be working on. My hubby is going fishing for a long weekend this weekend, so I'm excited to have lots of time at home to work on my painting class. :)

Do nothing days are wonderful! When I started homeschooling my son (many many years ago) he negotiated 2 read only days a month. On those days, he didn't have to do anything but read!

I have no do nothing days! I have no do less than 3 major things days! Calgon, take me away!

My do nothing days are usually when I'm sick. Like this last weekend. Literally can't do anything besides lay on the couch and watch TV.

I call them reading days. LOL as I get my nose in a book I have a hard time lifting it out.

well do nothing turned into, wash all my sheets, pillows, and sofa covers and throw pillows. Air out pillows all day in hot sun! YEAH...then bathe the dogs, and hose down the floor mats to mini van. Dusted and cleaned office and bedroom. I am exhausted from my do nothing day! bhahha

Good grief. Do you ever sit still and really have a do nothing day?

I thought my day was going to be low key . . . but instead I got a visit from a cousin who was in town (along with her hubby and two children who were into everything LOL).

Before they arrived, I showered and got ready, made the beds, wiped up the guest bath just in case, emptied the dishwasher and cleaned up breakfast dishes . . . then they visited and I was worn out when they were gone. In between there (before and after), I worked on some templates for next week's SOSN and then I watched a couple of YouTube videos.

Now I'm working again, checking the forum, and watching a YouTube video.

Oh yeah! I am spray painting some figurines I got. Well, one of them is older and is a set of birds. I am touching them up with more white paint. The other figure is a sleeping cat that was hideous (the paint), so I spray painted it white and it's so adorable and sweet. I forgot to take before and after photos!

Now I'm going to go out and check on those, fold one load of clothes and then freshen up because we are going out for dinner for my sis-in-law's birthday.

I think tomorrow WILL be a do nothing day! Whew!

Unfortunately, I am forced to "do nothing" days... :( the days I need to go out, be that doctors or Sarita's shows or even a trip to the recycling depot.... I need at least 24 hours in bed without moving ..... so yes, I do get those a lot.... which I most of the time take for scrapping more, as not always I can type or my brain copes with reading.... and npw with Sarita not being able to sit down, I need to be up a lot more so I'm trying to find a balance.......
I have found my ways to make them full on anyway though!

I have do nothing days a lot. Working on overcoming that. So today I did my errands (and Will's, not sure how that happened) then took the dog to the park. The walk was too long so I hardly had the energy to go to the Japanese gardens and take a few pictures.

March was such a crazy month, yesterday was also my much anticipated do nothing day! Although I was up early, I got to come home, have a nap(!!) and do some scrapping. Sorted some problems with our new neighbours and then did some knitting - it was so good!!

Back to regular programming today...

This is my me and DH. I could stay at home and scrap, bake, watch a movie, whatever. DH has to get up and go, go, go. Shayne (oldest) is a go, go, go kid... and Colin (youngest) is my homebody!

When it is just the boys and I, I feel guilty if I don't get them out for awhile, so I force myself. lol! Occasionally we will have a weekend day of nothingness! :) Favorite days!

All the time. I'm currently on 2 weeks vacation (4 days left) at home where I've been doing very little. I've had days in pj's and afternoon naps and wine at noon. It's been so lovely. I've only left the house to get groceries.

Yes. My do nothing days often turn out a lot like this. We usually try to "relax" on Sunday's, but generally I still cook, tidy up, notice something else I want to clean and throw it in the laundry, etc. If I'm lucky it's a half do nothing day.
