It's Monday and I'm digging out from the weekend. Don't get me wrong, I love when my weekends are laid back, but when Monday comes along everything that didn't get done over the weekend has to be taken care of.

I've got some housework to do, some bills to pay, some grocery shopping and hopefully I can get in some scrappin too. How about you? What's on your list for today to dig out from the weekend?

I had a really productive weekend. Everything on my list got done. Today, I need to really focus on schoolwork because the kids are off tomorrow and friday ... and having them around distracts me. So I really only have 3 days that will be quiet and productive.

I need to get my planner set up for the week. Get some dates into our calendar for the month, and update our chalkboard command center...
I got started with Project Life catch up this weekend, so I need to keep going on that route to work through it.
I probably should do some housework , too. haha

Today is an odd day for me. My boys are off this week, and I'm off today. So.... tomorrow is Monday? We are relaxing this morning, and then after lunch we are going rock climbing! I will pay some bills today, and get some scrapping in later on this afternoon! Yay!

I've got to clean the powder room floor. It's wood and I hate cleaning it. Who thought porous wood was a good idea in a bathroom?! They never potty trained a boy, I bet! Maybe I should just stop taking care of that floor so we HAVE to redo that room. :)
Anyway, I've been trying to do laundry throughout the week so I don't have too much to do (2nd load is going right now...I might do a 3rd if I feel industrious lol). I also need to pick up family room (kids picked up the playroom so I should clean my own messy spot, where I keep my laptop and EHDs lol, cuz I've got some work piled around). Oh, speaking of EHDs, I also want to back up my phone pics. It's been awhile.
But DD is off school today so IDK how much I'll really get done cuz I want to hang with her a bit too.

My DD is off school until Wednesday, so we had parent/teacher mini conferences this morning at the school. She also has a skating test up in Maryland in a few hours, so we're now getting ready for that.

Otherwise, I've been totally ignoring all the stuff that didn't get done over the weekend, because I didn't make the mess! Just saying.

I did not do much around the house at all this weekend - usually my OCD is kicking in and I'm forever cleaning something and making sure everything was picked up. We were on the go both Saturday and Sunday and I was beat when we were home, so actually took a nap yesterday! LOL! Today it was back to work like normal and will have to catch up this evening - after a hair appointment that I forgot about until this morning when I looked @ my calendar. Had I remembered that appt I might have tried to be more productive yesterday ... oh well ... it will be there when I finally get around to it!!

Schoolwork... what are you studying?

I admire all you project life gals. I started it once many, many years ago and got about 3 weeks done and then gave up when I forgot to take photos for a couple of days.

I also feel the same way as you about housework. I should probably do some, but I really don't want too. lol

Rock climbing... wow! You go girl!

I agree... cleaning bathrooms is the worst, especially if you have boys!

Luckily, I don't have to do any laundry today. Hubby did it all on Saturday while he was watching football. We have an agreement that he can watch all the football he wants as long as he washes and folds laundry while he does it. I figure it is a win win. He wins because I don't complain about him watching football and I win because he does the laundry. YAY!

Seems like I'm always digging out! The kids stayed with us for ten days so they could sand floors and paint their house - then I took my daughter-in-law baby shopping for my first grand child and my husband and I helped them get everything back together this past weekend. My house is a bit chaos from the visit still and now my other son wants help planning ring and wedding. All totally great and I am so happy for them and us - but really it never seems to end.

Exactly Jan. Mom didn't make the mess, so why does she have to clean it up? I just wish the mess didn't bother me so much, then I could leave it for them to clean up. Problem is it bothers me more than it bothers them.

YAY for a nap and a hair appointment. Good for you to get in some me time. And I agree the mess will still be there when you get around to it.

Yep, a mother's work is never done! Hang in there! BIG HUGS!

I didn't accomplish half of what I wanted to on the weekend but that is par for the course for me. I don't think I've ever had a wkend where everything on my list got done. I wish I had gotten more work, editing and housecleaning done but...oh well...it'll get done eventually this week. I did try out a new recipe that we loved so did accomplish one goal (I'm getting sick of the same-old meals lately) and did make it to the store to search for new sweat pants which I found but I love them so much now I want to get back and get a few more pairs so it looks like another visit to the store this week. Here's that recipe if you want to check it out.

That recipe looks yummy Rae. Thanks for sharing it... we'll have to try it as we are tired of the same ole meals too.

2012 I got 2 weeks in, then weeks 3-6 were all combined because I failed horribly, then never picked up again after that. this year I said no, till the PL app became available for Android in March. I went back and did from the beginning oF the year. I can barely manage a 6x8 each week: one 4x6 of 2 inch photos, and one 4x6 of journaling. lol!

My husband and daughter were out of town this weekend so the toddler and I did a whole lot of nuthin'. It was glorious. I found out that when Mr. Chatterbox and Miss Chatterbox are not around he's content to just chill and snuggle with Mama. :)

I don't even mind having a lot to do today to make up for it!

We have already run to the bank and Walmart. I'll need to go pick up my daughter in a couple of hours from school and then she'll have homework and spelling to do. The lawn needs to be raked again, and then we'll have some jumping contests before dinner. I'll make some taco soup for the crockpot while she's doing homework, and we'll eat after DH gets home from work. He started a new job today so hopefully it's going well!

My daughter has tomorrow off since her school is being used as a voting site so I need to figure out how we're going to pass the day (after I vote, of course).

I also need to make reservations for an activity at the kids' museum Saturday, do some prep for a Skype job interview I have Wednesday, send in my application for another job, make a photo board for my ILs' surprise 50th anniversary party, and throw a couple loads in the wash.

So yeah, I guess I have a little more than I thought on my plate over the next couple of days. :helpy

I always try to make sure that all the household stuff is done by Sunday afternoon so I can start the week fresh. I still need to update some things for the week in my planner, but I have the rest of the evenings this week free for scrapping and hanging out :)

Did all the laundry today. Took the cat to the vet for follow up. Took daughter to piano lesson. Set up the polling place for tomorrow and now waiting for dd to be done with girl scouts. Tomorrow I am working the poll -6am to 8pm or later.

This weekend Olivia came home for a surprise visit . . . thought she was only going to stay Friday night, but she ended up staying Saturday night, too. In the midst of her visit, we did a lot of talking, and I drew (for some new doodles woo-hoo) and also did laundry. This morning when I got up, I just had to throw in two loads: the bath mats and then the bath towels. The rest of the day was spent working on drawing and designing.

I'm like the rest of you . . . I like things to be a certain way and I can't ignore clutter . . . but I've gotten better in that I will ask for things to be picked up. I believe it's my duty to help my son begin to see that his mess is his responsibility, and not mine! LOL

We didn't really have any plans for the weekend, but we sure didn't accomplish anything either. My boys both had a middle school dance on Friday night and we ended up with extra boys at our house overnight. So Saturday, instead of getting up and cleaning up the week's messes like we usually do, we ended up making Belgium waffles for the crew and generally just keeping an eye on them, then delivering them all home. The rest of the weekend we did really get anything done and then boom it was Monday again. I'll have to get started on cleaning everything well for the Thanksgiving visitors we'll have. I am taking the whole week of Thanskgiving off because i have a lot of vacation days to use up, and I don't want to spend my days off cleaning, so I'm hoping to get that all done ahead of time!

Mondays are my day off. I usually do meal planning, groceries, cleaning, etc. But yesterday I didn't do a thing. I spend all day reading. It was glorious. I really needed it.
