Once upon a time, someone said or I read or I saw "Photograph red when you see it." This has stuck with me over many years. I find myself noticing red and, when possible, I take a photo. I've noticed how red grabs attention because our brains are trained to think Stop! when we see red, especially once we are paying attention to street signs and stop lights. Red means hot. Red means stop. Red means the recording is going. Red means passion. Red likes attention. Your challenge this month for photography is to take a photo of something red and scrap it. Here's my page with two different red flowers among their leaves. This was the same place, one in the shade, one in the sun. I love how the red looks different in each photo. Notice when you see red how it can stand out from what's around it. If you want an extra challenge, see if you can find the red by itself or contrasting with the background. Enjoy pulling out your cameras and looking for red this month! I look forward to seeing what you find. A Little Reminder: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the December Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount coupon you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day December 6 this month). Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
Thank you so much for this gorgeous challenge and inspiration, Courtney @bestcee journaling: Today it is frosty and misty. I found the last red berries for the birds in our garden.
I hide my camera in my jacket while filling the bird feeders with seeds and suet, or this guy will fly away before I get his photo lol
