Merry-Happy-Joyous December everyone!!! I'm here with week #2 muse. As you know this month is all about "one word" as our inspiration. Each week there will be a different word to inspire your creativity. You are welcome to let the word of the week inspire the direction of your page in any way the Muse speaks to you. You can create your page using the word to journal your feelings or thoughts. Find a quote, lyrics, bible verse using the word. Maybe the Muse is speaking to you in colors, patterns or photos that embody the spirit of the word. Allow the Muse to speak and when she does, let your creativity flow. My word for week #2 is: JOY Merriam-Webster lists JOY as both a noun & verb noun: (a) the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires; (b) the expression or exhibition of such emotion; (c) a state of happiness or felicity verb: to experience great pleasure or delight When you think of the word JOY what does the Muse say to you? What does JOY look like to you? Whatever JOY means in your life right now, put that on your page. Here is my JOY page: You may create any style of layout (ie. clean and simple, artsy, pocket style etc.) you wish, with or without a photo, in any size or shape. This page is about what you want to create and share. Don't place any limitations on what you think art journaling should be. Make the page about what you want it to be for you. Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE prior to Midnight EST Saturday, December 31, 2022 and then post it in this thread by copying the code (at the right of your gallery image) from the box under "Share BB Code". We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month for a coupon!! Every layout you create is equal to one entry in the random draw. So if you create 1 layout you are entered once, if you create 4 layouts you are entered 4 times. You can use any products in The Lilypad store or retired products from current Lilypad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines). I can't wait to see all your pages filled with JOY
This is the third Sunday in advent. Guess what it’s theme is? Yep - Joy. I went to our outdoor mall with friends last night. They had lighted signs all over. Guess what one of them was? Yep - joy. a sign?
I wasn't sure where I wanted to go with this and then I saw Allison Pennington's word art and I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
I didn't know when I was doing this layout it was perfect for this challenge, but JOY to me is happy children...no matter what what they do!
My latest purchase was perfect for this word "Joy" as there was a journal card in the collection that I used just the small section of on my page:
