I have a Muse Challenge for you today. Who else is ready to see 2020 come to an end? Are you looking towards 2021 with hopes it will be 'back to normal'? For this challenge I want you to take two sheets of paper and have your person, or yourself, tucked between the two papers. Think half of yourself is in 2020 and the other half is stepping into 2021. For your person you can use an element person as I did, a doodle person, or even more fun is maybe an extracted person out of a photograph! Next I want you to have some journaling on this subject, or like myself use a few strips of word art journaling. one side, have 2020 and the other 2021 to convey your message between the two sides. You have till the end of the month to complete this challenge. Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE prior to JAN 1st, 2021 and then post it in this thread by copying the code (at the right of your gallery image) from the box under "Share BB Code". We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month for a coupon!! You can use any products in The Lilypad store or retired products from current Lilypad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines).
with Brexit looming on the horizon (31st Dec) and all the uncertainties that brings I've gone in a different direction to most people with this prompt.
Another Interesting Muse For Sure!...I Think This Challenge Speaks To A Lot Of Us...While Not Trying To Be Too Negative...But 2020 Pretty Much! Bit!...It Was Our Hardest Year In Many Years!...We Had So Many Personal Obstacles To Overcome...Alongside Of All The Covid-19 Mess!...Yes! There Were Positive Things Too!...But This Challenge For Me Is All About Reflection:Of Bad Vs. Good...The Bad Of Covid Vs. The Good Of Non-Covid...Not Good 2020 Vs. A Better 2021...[Hopefully...]...One Of The Hardest Things For Me Was Not Being Able To Go To/Have Family Gatherings...Especially With Christmas Around The Corner...I'm Already Missing The Usual Christmas Traditions We Have Shared For Many Years Over At My Dad's House...And I Think For Most...This Will Be The Hardest Test Yet...For An Already Extremely Difficult Year In 2020!...So Here's To Hoping That 2021!...Is Gonna Be...Bigger! Better! & Brighter Than Ever Before!!!... *My Left & Right Contrasts Seem To Explain What I Was Going For Here:On The Left:There Is Social Distancing...Separation...Bleak Stark Colors...A Coldness & Sadness In The Air...On The Right:The Opposite!...Bright! Warm! Rich! Colors...You Can See The Skylight & The Star Of Hope...Lush! Rich! Greenery!...Warm! Earthy! Browns! & A Feeling Of Overwhelming Hope For The Future Filled With...Happiness/Love & Togetherness...* *For My 2020:2021:Reflections Layout-I Used: *Winter In The Woods-Winter Carys-Rebecca McMeen *Weathered Landscapes No.2-Country Roads-Lynn Grieveson
I really like the idea of this- but I didn't exaclty follow the rules in that my paper isn't covering the person. I wanted her to be pushing 2020 baggage aside. Thanks for the challenge, great break from hands on creating!
